Does anyone else think it should have diff-lock? It's quite a nice offroader, but that really turns me off using it offroad. Obviously not full-time diff-lock (as that would render it bad for driving onroad), but a switch like Jalkku's Scania. Also a bed hard-top thing would be nice.

if that's a unrealistic thing for a truck like this to have, then nevermind (I don't want to compromise realism for better offroading, looks etc.)

Factory definitly not, but perhaps dsam could add a axle with a locking diff to his D15 version.

While I agree that it has one of the best jbeams in the game, I agree with Aboroath in that it is a little bit on the un-detailed side. The headlights and grill could benefit from being separated, like most of the other cars in-game, and the bed could use a bit more detail where it meets the cab to make it more realistic in cases where you clip the bed but not the cab, which would currently make it stretch oddly. I also can't help but wonder how hard it would be to aim the mirrors properly, like how the Pessima's are.

    Bump.

I feel that the automatic transmission is geared much too high in 1st gear, and it also reaches a frankly ridiculous top speed.
This makes all of the D series extremely hard to drive up an incline of any sort, and they cannot spin the tires.

That or the stall speed is too low.

Any one have issues using the d15 for off roading? Using the engine tune level 2 and 5spd manual i cant seem to get it to climb over anything... it seems either under powered or it has to tall of a first gear.

I modded mine to have a extra low-range gear for that purpose. I can give you the mod if you want.

I feel this truck needs a bedcover for the sport and custom version. Makes it feel more "sporty."

He wants the transmission to have a high range/low range selection, technically more common as a feature of the transfer case rather than built into the transmission. Something BeamNG doesnt support yet anyway but I also want.

Yeah sure! It's a little rough around the edges and could have some additional tweaking, but I think it's good enough. ;)

    To use:
    1. Install zip by placing it in C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\Documents\BeamNG.drive\mods\lowgear.zip
    2. Open BeamNG.drive
    3. Select either Roamer or D15
    4. Press ctrl+w
    5. expand 'Engine'
    6. click transmission
    7. Select "6-speed manual"

Is it just me or is the D35 Extended Cab the most bouncy bastard ever? The suspension on that is...something else. As in "practically nonexistent".

What?! My '95 Chevy 2500 rides like a Cadillac, and after putting one or two tons in the bed you won't hardly feel the road at all. Try a mid-90's three-quarter-ton Dodge if you want to know a rough ride; at 15 mph those bastards will about rattle the teeth out of your skull on an old dirt road.
