The car has just been inspired by the other one, and like it has been stated it not a replica. Last I checked "Gavril" is not a real company.

I just looked up sealed beam headlights... this is what I found...

    download1.jpeg download2.jpeg 80-ford_0.jpg

In other words. sealed beam headlights do not technically need to be an inch back. They could be mounted further forward and still work because they are sealed units. Just imagine that Ford with the headlights even further forward. Granted it might not look right, but it would still work and be passable. It does not NEED changing just because it is a unique design and it doesn't conform to your definition of "normal"

Yes, but the lights being set back would help protect them from being broken, and the d-series is a utility vehicle...

What part of "unique design" didn't you get?

    Well, yeah.
    1. I have sealed beams on my Eagle, I know what they are.
    2. I never said they need to be set back.
    3. Exactly, you said it yourself. It doesn't look right.
    4. I never said it needed to be changed.

The reason i want it changed is because it bothers me.

Yes, but it doesn't need changing as you claimed it did.

    Good job!

Now you can just change the headlights to the base and they will be set back.

On at least 2 of the eras (early, and late), there is a base and a better version. I'm not sure if it is for the default years though.

No, there's an early and an intermediate light variety. The early fascia with the intermediate lights is meant to represent the cheaper front end for the later default grille.

I meant that both the early, and late(2000+) fascias both have headlight varients but I wasn't sure if the "normal" one did.

All this stuff about headlights was discussed to length when the D-series remaster initially happened.
As Gabester has said (who orginally designed the D-series), the original fascia isn't laid out realistically; note how on the IRL chevy, the lower "headlight" is just a front marker light, and the upper "headlight" houses both the low and high beams, whether it's got sealed beams or compound headlights:
This results in the D-series having no dedicated front marker lights, as required by US regulations.

I suspect that between this inherently unrealistic layout, and their tendency to avoid obviously changing the design of vehicles, they decided against retconning the fascia to have sealed beams.
Regardless of that, it doesn't necessarily need to have sealed beams, as shown with the chevy above having compound headlights. Some of the pre-facelift fleet models also have production years that span up to 1997, so if you wanted your sealed beams in that era you could still get them on the fleet trim.

I wish they'd just put the high-end early H-Series fascia on the D-Series (and maybe add an alternate headlight option to it with sealed beams).
