Released Gavril GPV 1.1

Hey Trackpad, I just wanted to ask if you were considering making a soft top for your latest update for the GPV? it's the one thing I've wanted for this mod the most no biggie if not just wanna know what's in the cards for the GPV

 

It's on my "maybe" list. The main issue is that it's a huge and soft structure that might be prone to deforming weirdly when rolling over. It also blocks the folding of the windshield and couldn't be detached from it w/o weird issues.

I need to take some time to figure out how the roof is setup on the hopper, and see if it might be useable.

The issue isn't having cloth physics.

It's having to deal with a thing that is permanently attached to the windshield or else it will just flops around weirdly when it gets detached.

And it's having a thing whose structure is a bunch of very flimsy tubes that when they inevitably get bent out of shape in a roll over, might cause the cloth thing to end up weirdly mangled.

 

Whatever happened to the addon guy, seems like he just dropped off the face of the earth ( referring to @Klayking)

 

Yeah, he was planning some cool stuff for the GPV, such as the soft top.

 

Had less time than I thought I'd have this week-end, but was still able to throw enough things together for a quick update.



There's still tons I want to do, but this should be enough to ensure the thing is a bit more useable while I try to finish the Superlite. Just doing the final checks and I'll then send it to the repo for approval.

Just keep in mind the tow hitch might cause some issues with klayking's pack. I'm using the new universal towhitch system, but when installed where I want some of the nodes interfere with the body and bumper jbeam. You can manually fix it by moving body node "brp1" z-position to 0.25.

 

Nice! Now, we just need a trailer with a .30 caliber! Also, are my eyes deceiving me or did you update the taillights?

Love this mod a lot. One of the things I noticed is that on the 2.2L L-Head, it won't rev past 5k with the heavy Duty long block. This is due to there not being and torque curve data in the Engine Jbeam after 5k RPM

 

This mod is great, a smol military jeep in Beam!
It's just such a cool old classic, I really love it!

Oh hey, official GPV update! Awesome!

So I dropped off the face of the earth last time when I moved in with my girlfriend. We've just bought a house and moved again last weekend (seems to be a theme when I check in here). With a bit of luck I might have some time to revisit the expansion, but I won't lie, I just don't have the free time that I used to, hence the complete lack of updates from me in the last 2 years...
