Thanks! But... 1: Not all racing trucks have a single rear tire (looks at the first picture, You can clearly see dual rear tires) Although I can add a single rear tire setup. 2: Whats not realistic about it? I know little about truck racing, if you can explain how I can improve the plastic bits I might will. 3: Yep, but I think it might have something to do with the tires not being perfectly circular, so they bounce when skidding. If you've got some (more detailed) specs of a racing truck engine, please let me know. I don't know if I should increase the torque or the RPM to make more horsepower. (racing trucks should have about 1000hp, this one has around 750 hp) The drift truck (2400hp) mentioned in this tread has a bit too much hp for a old racing truck. Although I'm probably going to include something like it I also would like to have a realistic racing engine.
It should work by just putting the zip file in BeamNG's mod directory, like "Documents\BeamNG.drive\mods\semirace_AR162b.zip" Due to little spare time I haven't used this mod for some time now, so I'm not sure if it works on BeamNG latest build...
Works fine for me. Shakes like a bitch when starting out though. I admit this wasn't an interesting mod to me but now I like it. Nice work as usual.
I need help, every time I put this vehicle, it falls with everything on the floor and shatters all, what do I do?
Same here, it seems like every time it spawns, some beam or node explodes on the inner rear tires/wheels....
This mod is not compatible with the newest version of the game. The author's already on to fixing this issue, so you just have to be patient.
Yep, I'm besides all other mods which need updating also busy updating and expanding this mod. If anyone has detailed specs of a racing semi truck engine (preferably a torque graph) please let me know!
The race trucks are limited to a 12-liter diesel engine. When the sport first got its start in the 1980s, beefing up the engines meant adding turbochargers -- the bigger the better. As technology has changed, and engine management software has replaced brute force with finesse, most race trucks sport software that manages engine power and torque with algorithms and advanced math rather than mechanical crudities. What all this boils down to is the software allows a savvy diesel engineer to tweak the air-fuel ratio in literally every cylinder to produce more than 1,000 horsepower and more than 6,000 pound-feet of torque (8,135 newton-meters) from a standard engine. link: http://auto.howstuffworks.com/auto-racing/motorsports/super-truck-racing1.htm
Hey, thanks for the info. I've seen that website before, but I can't remember that torque number. Currently the torque and power figures are a bit low: 750 hp and 2750 Nm, but the T75 isn't the most modern truck. Changing the figures will still be a guess what the torque curve might be - The max torque will probably be in the lower rpm range looking at the max power, but I'm not sure if it has some kind of turbo lag and the characteristics at higher rpm.
i found a racing truck torque and hp graph sorry if its a bit hard to see this one has a turbo but i dont think all racing trucks have turbos but most of them do
Oh nice! Thanks! I've spend quite some time searching for something like that... Without result. It has a way higher rpm than I expected. I'll adjust the mod to make it look like this. I have some other new parts that I want to include (race front and rear bumper, pushbar, rollback system including a 20ft container) in the update which needs some time and I want to fix the D15 mod update and GM wagon release first, so it can take some time.
hey, uuh... does anyone have this same problem as me? because all this does is make it so hard to drive and turn
the author of the mod clearly said that he will fix this eventually in the posts above. Unfortunately,he is busy with other things LIKE HE SAID IN THE POSTS ABOVE so it will take some time.
Play around in the parts menu "ctrl W". Eventually you can configure them back again, the racing rear axle is bugged, switch it back to the standard one.
I'm updating this mod, I will release it asap but I haven't got much spare time lately. There are lots and lots of wrong and therefore conflicting coltris in the latest release
