Most euro trucks do not have the engine infront of the cabin like that first image anyway, even those by SISU Auto.

What would really be referred to as euro style is this:

I have seen several russian and chinese vehicles with layouts like your first image. Finland do border russia, so I think its more a russian influence than euro influence where trucks are predominantly cab over engine, in europe there are tighter restrictions on the length of a truck so sticking a sodding great engine bay on front of the cab is a waist of space when you can stick the cab over the top of the engine while still having an engine powerful enough to shift the largest load you can have on a european road anyway. Also gives smaller blind spots and tighter turning circle for the tractor unit itself. Fuel economy can be poorer due to aerodynamics and ultimately you can still fit a bigger engine in an american style truck.

"I have seen several russian and chinese vehicles with layouts like your first image" Scania and Volvo use same layout, it used because it work better in ice and snow.

I don´t think than its influencse of Russians, it influence of Sweden, you have to remember, than in sweden there is two big tuck manufactures, Volvo and Scania, they both use same style as Sisu. And they both have been frontline to truck evolution all the time.
And in Finland, there is tight places to go, so good ability is one of the main reasons for that solutions.
Yes i know than last one "nose model" truck in Europe were Scania T-series in 2005. But i like if there is older trucks in game, not new ones.
So we use in north this style trucks at mostly:
Its full-size truck with full size trailer. Point is than you got more weigh on back, more grip in ice. And there is lot of room for cargo.
Today these style trucks are used in Finland, Sweden and Norway, other places, i don´t know.

I did mean position of front-axle, i just take Sisu for example, so you can see the diffirence.
Same think is in all Euro-trucks to compare U.S trucks.
I think than you got the same Scania, Volvo, M-B, MAN and Daf.
Main diffirense is, than today we use in europe flatnose trucks everywhere.

Still alive :) UVed the frame and running gear, united the fenders to the hood, and modeled hood hinges. Nothing worth looking at, just keeping you guys updated.

The semi is catching my interest, hauling ass around dry rock island in a vehicle that weights about 12k pounds, with something like 12 gears

15k and 13 gears when I'm done with it ;) Right now the frame sans cab/hood is already doing a nice job annihilating anything in its path (it weighs about 10,000 lbs)

Is the picture of the Roamer in the Wiki and actual picture of it, or is that just some photoshopped image of different moddels slapped together. The different colors of it are what stick out the most to me.

That's an actual picture that I posted on the forums a while ago. The panels are random colors so I can visualize the panel gaps. Like I said, it's an early WIP ;)

Got the cab and hood in-game. They have nice soft breakable mounts just like a real truck. Still gotta model a latch and do the node/beam for the fender/headlight portion of the hood.

Wow. That's one of my new most anticipated cars. Looks really cool.
Now THIS is my most anticipated vehicle. I always remember playing the 18 WOS games and thinking about how cool it would be to have realistically damaging semis. And here I am, looking at one. It's so pretty.
Welp, back to the wiki. Just got done editing the T75 page about an hour ago.:p

10.6 liter I6 diesel with a turbo. I think that'll probably be the only engine option.

Look into euro truck simulator. They have a neat controls feature which allows u to set a toggle switch to access more gears. So people with steering wheels can get up to 12 gears. If we could incorporate a switch in the inputmap to change the 1-6 to 7-12.

It weighs 12754 lbs right now; it's still missing some parts like horns, exhaust, and mirrors which I expect to add a couple hundred pounds.
