Has probably been said already but i dont like this being a Gavril. I think Bruckell would actually be closer to the counterpart of GeneralMotors and by that Chevy. --- Post updated --- how so ?
Just finished porting over the V8 engines from the Barstow. I cut down some of the extra flexbodies I thought were needless such as the different colors for the valve covers, however all functionality is preserved... I'll see if I can't fix this later since honestly I've had a change of heart, though it's not a priority. However, anything you can do with the stock Barstow engines, you'll be able to do here. I might try and port over the old Vendetta engine tuning options, since I think they're far more flexible and lore-friendly than the current options, though porting over the 423 and 532 are going to be extremely difficult... The old 423 uses a custom engine build system made by @atv_123, and was written well before official engine tuning was a thing... Honestly I think we inspired the devs to add this to the game, though there's no way to prove or disprove that. Anyway, each and every part of the build copies a good chunk of the 423 engine code. The problem with that, is the official 423 has been significantly updated in the 3 years since, meaning I'll probably end up accidentially mixing old and new code in ways that could possibly be game breaking or provide unrealistic engine performance. The 532 is just like any other old official engine, though it's significantly, unrealistically overpowered, and will need to be retuned to be better in line with late 60s early 70s engines of this type. Before you ask, no I did not port the i6 engine... It was just going to be another headache to keep everything organized and honestly I don't think it's appropriate here. Biggest area I'm gonna have to work on engine-wise will revolve around the later Regulation Nation Vendetta, mainly modeling the necessary enginebay meshes and figuring out engine tuniings... Since there's nothing to reference how these engines evolved in the 1970s currently in-game, I'll need to do some more research to figure out what parts I'm gonna need and how much to de-tune the engines and so forth. Stay tuned
No more unrealistically overpowered 400 km/h engine? Tbh I'm fine with that, I couldn't even control the config I made with it lol
I imagine/hope we're getting the supercharger options from the Gavril V8, as that mostly requires punching a hole in the hood. So we should be able to make stupid variants still
That's because the current version is outdated and broken, try using the Legacy Wheels/Tires mod, that might help fix the issue of the wheels breaking off till Driver can release the updated and fix version.. Driver is working on updating the mod and fixing things as you can tell if you'd just read through the comments.
In retrospect, if any mod has [On Hold] or [Outdated] next to it's name on the list of mods and their pages, don't use them. They're on hold or outdated for a reason. Back when this mod was first released BeamNG was in a very different state of being then it is now. Since then a lot has changed, lots of base game vehicles have been reworked and coding within the game it's self has been reworked. Just know that by modding your game you run the chance of having the game break, be sure to follow the instructions on how to add mods to the game. And be aware that by using [Outdated] mods you're almost guaranteed to break the game. If you are using ANY outdated mods currently, delete them all and clear your cache.
ya i know. and this mod works, just didnt realize that the issue of the offroad version was already noticed. imma get back to making my hotwheels mod pack now.
