I've been testing this car the whole day and... DAMN!! This thing drives amazingly!! I love the undertray panels for downforce , since they keep a clean "stock" look, even though it makes a sensible amount of downforce. I'm impressed by how much better this car drives compared to its suspension donor, the Sunburst. It doesn't want to tip over when you install race tires, the front axle grips well, even on FWD variants, the powertrain layout is really simple (maybe too simple for my taste, but good for most users), the lightweight parts (reaching even the Unibody) are amazing, because with them, I could make a 1300ish kg car with the full interior and a stock look. Thank you so muck for this mod. This is, by far, the best car i've ever played with in this game. This is me trying the Roadsport on Interlagos, with the car having the Vivace's Cluthex AWD, torque vectoring front and rear diffs and with full weight reduction treatment on the body panels (apart from the Sunroof, because it is cool). For the negatives: the shifter on the 6 speed automatic transmissions doesn't follow the positions on the center console. This is fixable by changing the "multiplier" stat on the shifter prop from 1 to 2 (at least that's how I fixed). Also, can I make this mod compatible with my AWD pack, so people can try other types of AWD systems on the Vertex?
You download it from the forum thread I really appreciate that you took the time to mess around with it! Feel free to modify the vehicle, an AWD mod for it would be quite cool and I’d be curious how it would compare to the drivetrains the mod ships with. The system is basic because I prefer it that way to allow for quick drivetrain swaps without having to look if X YZ driveshaft or differential was installed with the right ratio etc. I just wanted it to be quick and easy, which is why it is how it is. It partly also is like that due to it‘s Automation heritage. The drivetrain setup still is just about how automation exports had it set up. Obviously changed a lot with them brain breakable, LSDs being customizable, locked diffs existing etc, what i mean is just that it all bases on that. I can look into the shifter position as well, I didn’t really look at it too much I also must say that the config you made looks absolutely amazing, I love it! The rims work so damn well on it
That mod makes every node heavier whereas the golden vertex only makes the thing that are golden heavier. Plus you can individually select or deselect the golden parts
i love this mod. revamp is soooo different from OG vertex. only real issue is the transmission is super unrealistic. only because it downshifts at 2k rpm every time, and upshifts late! maybe try and incorporate the updated shift logic mod that would be cool. other than that no issues loving it so far
Oh, thanks gal. The wheels on the KJLP pack, specially the Hirochi ones, look good on almost any modern-ish car. Anyway, I noticed after I made that comment that the dual motor EV has a center diff and just one motor powering all wheels (quite the smart solution to simplify things and keep the same result). The problem is that the center diff is locked, which makes no sense in a dual motor simulation because, well, if you have one motor per axle, the axles aren't connected. The solution would be just making that center diff open and maybe adding a bias setting for simulating motors with different outputs, like we have on the Tograc qE and the eSBR 500 and 800 (the Tograc would be "front biased", since its front motor is more powerful, while the eSBR would be "rear biased").
i feel like we are going to have a MASSIVE bug fix update soon because in this thread i keep seeing problems oh well i was able to make my monster in this game xd
But what would it do irl? Maybe you could make it functional I think that is because it overall shifts with very big delay on arcade gearbox for some reason. That issue is not present on any vanilla car so idk what is the problem here.
Just out of curiousity, I noticed that the derby-spec configs don't seem to have a driver camera (key: 2). Is this done intentionally for some reason?
They have an unmuffled camera which for whatever reason doesn't work with numeric keys and only when you press C several times, another issue I have not seen in any mod before and no idea why it happens
