My Chrysler has decided as of recent it wants mechanical princess treatment, ball joints are on their way out, ideally needs new intake & valve cover gaskets, driver side wiper arm linkage decided to disconnect itself from the whole apparatus (common but annoying issue with 80s-00s Chrysler's with rubber bushings going bad), the power steering rack I had a shop install 5 months ago is already going bad and leaking so they're warranting the job and replacing the rack and also outer tie rods this time, its having some sort of fuel pressure loss issue after sitting for more than 2-3 hours (hard starts bad no matter the temperature and the only way to make it start somewhat normally is to flick the key 2-3 times to prime the fuel pump) and just as of yesterday it decided to randomly die while driving through my neighborhood. Thankfully it hasn't happened since then but shows there's something up with a seal, filter or something. Other than all that the A/C still blows cold & the cassette deck still works so I can blast Stone Temple Pilots with my two front windows down (rears don't work but I never want to use them anyways so it's all good)

In some other news it sadly seems that the motor in my Girlfriends '96 Bonneville locked up on her, she didn't even make it half a mile down the road before the temp gauge pegged itself at H and the car shut off, don't know what exactly happened since I'm currently away but I suspect a bad water pump/pulley or long lasting effects of old school Dexcool GM Coolant in the system. It's only got 55k miles and has been a 1 family owned Florida car since brand new, so it'd be worth it to engine swap a low mileage junkyard motor into it if we can find one.

Hooray for your Opel! Although, I feel like you should teach it that a gift is supposed to be something good, not bad...

Well who knows, this may be a chance to do some actual mechanical work on it, i haven't done anything more complex than replace a headlight bulb or change wheels and I'd like to try and change that

That's the idea some day. I really like this car I have this little list of some cars I must own before I die and this is one of em so I'm pretty happy. this one is everything I wanted it's the exact year I wanted and is my dream spec and if I don't have to sell it I wont for awhile atleast. Anyways i installed a new exhaust manifold gasket on the passenger manifold to fix the exhaust leak( took 5 hours and I had to remove a motor mount and jack the motor up a bit hardest thing I've ever done in my life lol) and now all the fluids are changed mechanical issues fixed and nothing else is broken or worn so the car is now sound mechanically. It's a hemi it's gotta have a little rumble so I bought a exhaust system too and it finally arrived so I'm currently installing a 400 dollar cat back exhaust system. I went with one that has decent size baffled mufflers so hopefully it's not to loud cause this thing is a cruiser I don't want it to drone like mad inside. But if it is I can fix it. Next I'm getting custom seat covers for the front. Gonna get a new rubber piece for the fuel door so it sits properly. The paints bad nothing I can do will rid of the super deep scratches but I'm gonna replace some of the scratched chrome trim, one of my front fog lights are cracked so I'll fix that and whatever other cosmetic blemishes or broken stuff I find and fix. Goals to make it look as factory new as possible. As far as aftermarket cosmetic or suspension I'm not gonna touch it car looks good as it is and anything you change on these things only makes em look worse.

Yes I know I'm on ramps but they are like a million years old so I don't fully trust em hence the wheels lol.

Problem is i was supposed to get a cheap temporary second car that I didn't like that I would sell once I got my Mazda back together but i didn't think I'd end up with one of my dream cars and now it's another money pit . When I was looking at cars I specifically avoided ones I knew I'd keep. But my father was the one driving me and wasn't happy with the junkers I was looking at so he found this one and pretty much forced me to go look at it so we did and of course it was my dream 300c. I kept telling myself that I'd just do a couple small things and flip it but Its pretty nice body was straight and its the exact one Ive always wanted. I love it so much I just couldn't. If it was any other color or gray interior any year but an 08 or rwd I'd of sold it.

I never post but I wanted to show my cars and get some opinions on them
The black astra is my new purchase its running nearly 300hp and its set up for the track on nice coil-overs and its fast (for my standards)
the green Ibiza was my first car, I bought it for cheap when I was 16 and fixed it up, it might have 55hp but its really fun and handles well

Heres a pull. 5.7 hemi 2.5 inch true duals no crossover pipe going through some knock off baffled flow master mufflers. Got kinda bad exhaust leaks on the bottom of every exhaust clamp idk if thats just how they are or what i hit em a little with an impact so their tight. Its 400 dollar exhaust tho so ya get what ya pay for. Ill get it welded later.

    Can’t even see the speedo…

But yeah, exhaust leaks are annoying. My Eagle’s exhaust leaks ride in front of and next to the driver footwell, so that’s nice. Trying to get all that fixed before I sell it, which will hopefully be soon.

/thats it im getting a MIG welder. I go to a muffler shop to get my exhaust welded on my chrysler 300. The mufflers and some the pipe ends have a little like notch in them kinda like this cause their supposed to slide over the pipe and be clamp on. Logic says you just weld up the little notch then weld around pipe like normal right? Well the muffler shop gave me a bunch of bull crap reasons of why they couldnt do that. So what they did instead is undo my exhaust clamps rotate them 180 degrees then weld around one side of the exhaust clamps. Its stupid but i was like whatever as long as the exhaust leaks are fixed. They assured me that the exhaust leaks were gone amd Guess what they arent. Thery charged 400 bucks to. Im done. Every time ive gone to a shop which is like maybe 4 times now i just get lied to straight to my face and end up having to do it myself anyways. I might as well have lit my money on fire atleast it would of gave me some warmth. Now i got a cheap mig welder anda couple other tools coming and im gonna have to cut out my botched exhaust system with my sawzall and just make my own like i should have done from the start. Luckily i know how to weld ive just never had my own personal at home welder but now i will. Im busy my mazda 6 has torn front lower ball joints and the ball joints are bad now. so I drop it off at the local shop to have them replaced and the call me and say ThE bAlL jOiNtS aReNt ToRn. Buddy i litterally just recently reverted my mazda back to stock struts and ive seen with my own eyes they are torn and bad just replace them. Then they just straight up refused to. Like is this real life right now? JUST TAKE MY MONEY AND FIX THE THING BUT I GUESS I JUST HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING MYSELF CAUSE EVERYONE HAS SUB 80 IQ. like i just dont get it it doesnt make any logic to me i feel like im going crazy. Youd think a shop would want to take my money right? Just take my money and fix the thing PLEASE. why is it so hard? Why lie? What are they gaining?
