Chrysler decided to replace their Town and Country with the "Pacifica" for the 2017 line up. Yes, it has the 200's front end, panoramic sunroof, build in vacuum, iPad like stereo and a hybrid power-train option. Not a huge fan of the front but everywhere else it's really nice.
Im actually surprised, with all the things I've read about it I thought it would be hideous. Doesn't look half bad.
Not sure if it has been brought up here, but Koenigsegg has been developing an engine type without camshafts. It's using something called "Freevalve". Watch this video. Very interesting technology that I hope we see in future cars.
Weirdly about Chrysler's next minivan is that it will not have the Dodge counterpart like usual (Dodge is discontinuing the Grand Caravan). And, why give it a name from an earlier Chrysler that flopped?
sold as a shogun in the UK. They ain't bad but the 4 speed automatic sucks, not my usual hatred for automatics, it's just a particularly bad one.
we liked the 2 we had. Fuel economy was terrible with mums driving though, single digits... From what is around a 2-3l diesel... I'd blame something up with the car, but both of ours were the same. Stepdad got a bit better out of it, I got the best in low 20s by switching to manual shifting. The auto box, it has no idea what its doing, ever... It truly is a slushbox. It would do alot of upshift then downshift for no reason followed by an upshift, or would refuse to downshift when it needed to, or you're bombing it at 70 on the motorway and it randomly shifts down to 3rd. Crap, utter crap, manual override was best you could do, even then the shift times were long. throw a manual in there or an auto that works, it would be alright
