Yeah, but the chances of it passing it's MOT in a few weeks are slim, so I could end up just with a car that is not road legal and no way of transporting it around, as I already own one useless car it is a bit ridiculous . Even if I do get it road legal, then there is the matter of insurance for a 17 year old, I own one car already and haven't crashed it yet, but the insurance would be ridiculous for a big old Volvo. It's a bit like Jeremy Clarkson buying that Volvo for £1 in a Top Gear challenge Garhh but £80 ermhagherd y u do dis.
Why would you just look at the cars while you can drive the Nurburgring as well... as a bus driver. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43FZqZEUKK4 (bus at 30 sec)
I bought my second car for $200 with the intention of turning it into a track car, but I've spent more than $1500 on it for parts, registration and insurance. Trailers aren't really cheap either, but it's still road legal so I haven't bought/rented one. I've also gotten attached to the stupid thing, so there will be no track days until I'm well underway on restoring it and modding the crap out of it. Don't do it unless you have the dough, basically. Things might be different for you, so this is just a heads up.
Last I checked, government don't control second hand car prices... - - - Updated - - - £80, want. Although my first and foremost requirement right now is having mot :/ £80 for a car with mot would be incredible.
Want cheap cars? we have lots of them here. 78 pounds, 91, 101, 117, 122, 125, 128 all in GBP There is a lot lot more to explore. Perks of living in a country nobody has ever heard about. Also guns
I like it. <3 <3 My Story: May I have van wheel? Guy gets fork truck, lifts van 100m, removes wheel, here you go $30, replaces van, wow. <3 <3
Standard Transmissions? I like the idea of a Golf, however there was some punk kid driving one at the pump today, very aggressive. Ford Focus SVT is where I learned to drive stick. Never did get-a-long with my roommate though. Wishing you good luck with the Ford because of the parts.
Both are easy to get parts for in the UK, being euro cars and all. Both are manual. UK you have to learn to drive stick to get a license. Hardly anyone drives auto. Entire country is basically stick shift master race.
If I allowed myself to buy an auto, I might have had a car already, there have been a few in good condition that pop up in search, except I aint fucking touching one.
Literally the easiest state to get a learner's and I live in it, get 85 or above. Practice test is here. http://dds.ga.gov/training/practicetest.aspx No wonder so many people suck dick at driving.
Except most americans drive an auto, driving 8 feet without stalling is as simple as hold brake, shift to drive, release brake, wait until the car has coasted 8 feet, press accelerator if you wish to speed up this affair.
I regret even looking in this thread, but hey someone has to clean up the plague.. Some of you guys just need to get a grip, and the harsh insults aren't needed at all. If someone can make you this angry online, you should get off the PC and take a walk, fresh air can do a lot. Infractions given to those who deserve them, more incoming..
