I hate GM for closing Holden in 2017, why couldn't they let it live until 2018. Closing something at 79 years instead of 80 just annoys me.

You can safely make 250ft/lbs on the stock engine, anything over that is getting risky, but has been done lots and seems to work...

The compression ratio is something like 9.4:1, I've compression tested mine and got 180-200 PSI on each cylinder which is great, as for turbo or supercharger.. Not sure yet, it's a pretty hard choice :p
Supercharger is easier/cheaper, but turbo is probably cooler and more exciting.. Either way I'm not going for huge power, anywhere round 200rwhp will do just fine.

That's a good compression ratio for boost. Superchargers are great for a number of reasons but I like turbos better. If you keep it under 230whp you can use such a small turbo that you'll be spooling it pretty much off idle. As long as you get it tuned on a dyno by a good tuner you'll get away with it for sure. You'll hurt feelings like no other when your 230whp miata eats that e46 m3 for breakfast. Sometimes I wish I could fit in a miata. Or an s2000.

If it were me, I'd be tempted to go with a turbo, but the supercharger with its more or less instant throttle response would better fit my ignorant, way-too-Initial-D driving dogma.

Anyone know what this is? It looks like it has a Cadillac badge but it's clearly not a Cadillac, unless I'm missing something. Whatever it is, it's gorgeous.

@amarks240, just how big are you? My MX5 accommodates my 6'something frame with only the top of my head in the airstream, and like 2" of seat rail to spare.

Unless you're talking about Twinkie addiction big.

Google Image Search reveals that to be a 1955 Nash Ambassador Custom Country Club Sedan.

Nash, of course! I knew that grille looked familiar. I didn't think of doing a Google image search :p

Hahaha I'm only about 175 pounds but I'm 6 foot 5 and a half. I drove an 89 once and I don't think I could actually fit with the top up. I know a guy almost my height who races spec miatas. He hammered a huge dent into the frame were the back of the seat hits and modified the rails to go back further.
EDIT: i am addicted to twinkies by the way. hostess cup cakes. devil dogs. zingers. Swedish rolls. if it has hostess or drake on the cellophane wrapper i fuck with it. i figure i have 5 years until i have to worry about ANY amount of calories sticking to me so until than im taking advantage.

Oh, you should see the GTO that some guy had sitting in his yard, actually, his whole yard, his whole property.
Anyway, Black GTO, no idea what year, 2004? no hood, valve covers spray painted purple, mis-match, terribly oversized wheels, huge homemade "GOAT" windshield decal, which was crooked of course, equally huge "Walkinshaw" sticker on the back window, what looked like aliigator's teeth molded into the dash, passenger door open, grass and weeds grown up to the door handles. Next to that he had a white Toyota 4-Runner that has been tossed around Craigslist for atleast two years, big ARB Bumpers, Snorkel, Bald 35's, and a chinese which. Even more fun junk in the garage, but I'l stop myself before I type a whole page.

That makes me sad to hear about the abuse some are put through, although the Walkinshaw sticker is a nice touch.

We literally never do. The spiders that coat every visible surface cushions the impact.

not too shabby considering he was up against "vastly superior RWD cars". the craftsman makes the tool.

Their our cars, we can crash them if we want. Americans aren't allowed to crash them.

Its always been an unspoken rule.
