So rumors that the Y61 Patrol will die in this year.
    Can anyone conform this?

It's like they fooled as with the Y62, like it's was suppose to be an Armada but somehow it ended up as a Patrol.

What. the cab and bed are separated on the Aussie ones? This changes everything.

I was never sure if the VY-VZ could be bought separated or if it was an aftermarket thing.

drop a vtec? Its been done and would not be an option Id be looking at if I had one.

Issue for me was insuring the thing. It was only £250 to buy from a lovely old guy that didnt need a car anymore and was happy to let it go to someone that actually wanted it. I got a chance to drive it (naturally aspirated diesel is just hilarious to drive, although it would have been fine for my commute).
Insurer however, they wanted £2500. They consider the pickup a light commercial vehicle, plus its a diesel. I live on a farm, commercial vehicle and diesel thefts are both higher on farm addresses and so the insurance quotes are hugely inflated

I did have a 1.3 petrol felicia hatchback as my first car, that would have been just £750 to insure at same time I got the pickup quote.
