Doesn't matter, still a strong running car. otherwise a best bet for a fullsize pickup in europe would be a VW Amarok
Why the Rebel package? Just curious. You'd pretty much just have a toy, not really something you could do much more than just drive around with. I think a mid 90's 4wd half ton would be a pretty solid bet, regardless of manufacturer. I've had/been around just about every fullsize truck made in the last 30 years up to about 2010. First thing, if your actually going to use the truck as a "truck" then stay away from shortbeds. I've got a 95 half ton 4x4 Dodge right now and my only real complaint with it is it's a shortbed. As far as engines go, they're all pretty solid, the only ones I'd say to avoid are the Ford Modular engines, (4.6 and 5.4 V8's, and the 6.8 V10) I've never dealt with a 4.6, so I really can't say anything about them, But My brother in law has an 05 F150 with a 5.4, two buddies of mine have had 99 F150's with 5.4's, and my Aunt has an 01 Expedition with a 5.4 as well. Ever one of them has had the same problems, the burn through coil packs, the spark plugs pull out of the heads, they've all jumped time, and every one of them had the exhaust manifolds pull away from the heads, making a terrible exhaust leak. I used to drive a '00 F-450 4x4 at work and it had the 6.8 V10, It had good power, but at 30,000 miles it already was on it's third set of coil packs and had one manifold pulling away from the head.
i want a new pickup because were i live you cant get good pickups from that years a 1999 Ford F150 costs 12000 bucks and has more than 500000miles on the clock also i like the looks of the rebel and im a dodge fan.
again, like i said, if you don't care about creature comforts, get a 7th, 8th, or 9th generation ford pickup ex. 1982 f-100
Then I'd say get a newer normal 4x4 half ton Dodge, then get the Rebel grille and decals. The 5.7 Hemi seems to have proven itself alright. I've had several of the 94-97 Dodge trucks, I've never had an issue with any of them, Right now I've got a 95 Half ton I mentioned earlier, and a 94 one ton Cummins diesel 5 speed 2wd.
It's amazing what you'll only discover about your car after you've spent time driving someone else's. For example, until I had to use my mother's SUV to get to work after my brakes went, I don't think I ever really realized that the Sunbird's steering wheel is offset relative to the seat, and that the column actually points right instead of being parallel to the centerline of the car. I don't know why this was done, but now that I've spend so much time in a car that has the steering wheel aligned with the seat and the car's centerline, I find it rather annoying.
today iam going to be heading to geigercars one of the biggest american car importers were i live to look at the pickups and maybe even buy one.
Although the Germans came late to the utility party, the Amarok really hits the nail on the head. I would actually buy the 2017 V6 if I was in the market for a utility, I used to be a Hilux guy but damn Im liking the VW. (That interior is awesome)
A C32 Laurel right? I guess it would make a nice Kaido Racer base, at least no one could complain about ruining a clean example. Also, do I spy a CRX in the background?
Yep two but they were both autos one had a DOHC engine. there were quite a few interesting vehicles that i found at the tractor wreckers Spoiler Mitsubishi make everything even tractors
