Very easy, australia is one of the hottest environments around, and it probably didnt and its just your police having some kinda pseudo political agenda against it considering the number of reviews that have come out with them easily doing more than 3 laps under race conditions.
Why would the NSW Police force make up that a Mustang overheated? No offense mate, you're one of the best people on these forums but that's a really bloody idiotic thought.
you'd be surprised at what some testing bodies do. But the fact of the matter is, nobody else has had those issues besides NSW police, so either its alot hotter in NSW, or somebody is bullshitting.
Today I got my challenger and i already drove 300kms on it and i have to say i really love it! The power is awesome! yes i know i should not drive it full throttle and i havent even done full throttle.
See, that's the kind of stuff that ticks me off even from an ocean and continent away. Though if you live in Germany as you seem to have indicated...
when i have a thousand km on the clock im going to drive flat out on our famous autobahn also we have soccer stuff happening on the moment so its easy to drive because every one is wathing soccer.
Makes sense. I'm just so not used to the idea of buying a brand new car, that I forgot you'd have to break it in.
I'm thinking of getting a bunch of political bumper stickers and doing the dumbest stickerbomb ever on the Sunbird. I could do it on one fender like all the JDM wannabes, or, if I got more of them, I could use it to cover the scratches on my hood and the pant delamination on my trunk. Help me... (The main problem here is that I still live with my mother, and she'd probably have a heart attack/think I'd lost my mind if I came home one day with 50 mullion haphazardly arranged stickers on it. Then I'd have to explain that it's a stupid half-parody of JDM culture, which would then lead to mocking as I've been vocally against JDM culture in the past.)
today i drove the challenger at Vmax i hit 283 and therefor leaving my friend in his M4 behind not much faster but at least i was quicker!
http://www.carprousa.com/two-ford-recalls-over-power-steering-mustang-overheating Nobody else hey? (not trying to be rude just pointing out these are extremely common issues)
Well they were recalled due to the undercarriage getting way too hot and the transmission is part of the undercarriage so I would say it is related personally.
on 2.3 litre turbos only, not the vehicles being tested by NSW. Though I've gone and had a look at the NSW test data, the only issue they reported at all was the automatic transmission throwing itself into limp mode, yes due to overheating.
Yeah, I mean the car just can't really have any transmission or drive line issues of any kind to be and efficient use of money by the police. I can see getting the models with transmission coolers but not the ones without. I still don't want to be seeing mustangs, volvos or other cars anyway the Aussie cars were made right for the conditions so its terrible they are going.
Wait, they're getting rid of Aussie police cars? I've never even been to Australia and that annoys me.
To be honest I am quite interested to see what they come out with, I haven't looked into the matter but providing they aren't firing the design teams it might lead to gm cars being better in general. One thing that has always amazed me about the car industry is the variety. Its actually pretty incredible that there are as many brands and models as there are. So when certain companies are killed off (or merged etc) by their parent companies it really doesn't come as a surprise. Since it may no longer be feasible for all these makes and models to exist going into the future, Especially the more old school brands. Personally I am really hoping that we might get to see new car brands popping up soon though with new ideas. Perhaps even some open source cars if 3d printing becomes more viable. With electric vehicles it may even be possible to see the car market turn into something more similar to the current computer (or even rc car) market. Where you can get a chassis, get an esc (electronic speed controller) and get some batteries, plug them together and you have a car custom to your own specifications.
Takata's deadly airbag recall is getting way out of hand. Like about 3/4 of every car sold in southern US (and islands owned by the US) has the recall. This picture is recent recalls. Also, this site, Car Complaints, has a list of cars affected by this: http://www.carcomplaints.com/resources/guides/takata/
