Kinda impossible to get practical on same day as theory really. Need the theory certificate to book practical, never going to be able to book a practical for that afternoon always a waiting,I only had to wait for 3 weeks, brother had to wait 10 weeks. Both of us passed both tests first time though.
It's half of all of that here. Gotta have the learners for 6 months and get 50 hours of driving, 10 of which being at night. Most people end up holding the learners for around a year, though. You get your learners when you turn 15 an your license when you turn 16. So, unless you procrastinate getting your learners, the 6 months thing doesn't really get in the way. ooooh. http://tricities.craigslist.org/cto/5008557245.html It's neat.
Here you need to get your provisional license (fill in paperwork, send off, wait a few weeks, can be done from age 16). Then pass theory test (only prereq being that you are 17 and have provisional). Then pass actual test, only prereq being that you have passed theory. Theoretically. The last 2 could be done in 1 day. There is no requirement to have ever been behind the wheel.
i don't know how they know here, but it doesn't matter anyway, i do plan on doing the required hours (in cali it's 50 hours total, 10 of which have to be at night, i only need the night hours and i'm golden) and even if i didn't, my parents would make me EDIT: for the month related stuff, only 6 months of holding the permit here, as you can get the permit once you turn 15&1/2
You won't like it if you happen to get pulled over past 11PM and get in trouble for it. :| There's also a lot of horrible drivers that are out there that should follow the rules, but following your loose-lawed mindset here themselves, it endangers the normal drivers like me by only paying attention to themselves. I keep getting worried when people are waiting to pull out in front of me, because some of them are assholes and do it when they aren't a safe distance away from my car. I'm not saying you are going to be a shoddy driver, but I can easily see you caring very little about how safe your driving is, and rather how likely you will make it through the turn/light/pull-out without crashing. I'll be in your shoes hopefully by mid-July.
My disrespect for beaurocratic bullshit has nothing to do with what kind of driver I'll be. :| Also, if I'm breaking the law and get caught, I have no one to be mad at but myself.
Here you get your permit at 16 and then its 3 or 4 months with drivers ed before you get a restricted and like 5 months and some required hours of driving if you don't get drivers ed. Then 17 for license.
Nice! As far as I can see, in good condition. Great color too! The 5 cylinder engine version is the one you want
If it's an auto then it's an automatic fail (huehue, pun intended) 5-cyl is master race you say, but what about straight-six engines or flat-four's? A Volvo 850 with 5-cyl does sound lovely though..
Do it It doesn't look like an Impala SS to me, but if it has the LT1 it's cool in my book. You can confirm with the VIN because the 4.4l L99 and the 5.7l LT1 look almost exactly alike. Speaking of Impalas, I saw a pretty cool Impala SS today. Pretty badass looking.
Nah. He slid that in the title so that he'd get more hits. It must be a 4.3L. Still good for 200hp and 245lbs/ft. Compared to my future 245hp/280lbs/ft MGM. 0-60 seems to be about 9.7 seconds compared to the estimated ~8.5 of my car. Also, this for you're LT1 needs http://worcester.craigslist.org/cto/4984519658.html
Meh, I'd rather have a Caprice with an LT1. Caprices are a little lighter and more rugged. An LT1 caprice is substantially faster than the roadmaster, too. Cheaper, lighter, simpler. I also like the Caprice styling more, for some reason.
They're both pretty fugly by most peoples' standards. I mean, I don't really dislike the roadmaster's styling, I just prefer the caprice.
I agree. I like the Caprice/Impala better. I haven't seen a 5.7L Caprice around here for sale... 0-60 is 7.3 seconds for the LT1 Caprice and 8.1 for the Roadmaster. I NEED this. http://worcester.craigslist.org/cto/5025859602.html
