The last Ford Falcon ever is Kinetic Blue, she will most likely be displayed in all her glory tomorrow when the Ford Australia factory closes its doors for the final time.
Question for Peterbilt and RyMcC22, is the fuel economy (instant or average) on the overhead center console fairly accurate? According to that I'm only averaging about 16 mpg. I have larger than stock tires and a lead foot, but it still shouldn't be that bad right? "dodges are junk... they break down a lot (who cares 'bout cummins?)" Not trying to start a huge argument, but I'm gonna have to disagree with you on that SpeedDrifter7
My thoughts exactly. The final two Australian Ford's rolling down the production line. Ford Falcon 1960-2016 Ford Territory 2004-2016
Hm, would be a bit interesting to take a full tour of the plant after these two were built, considering it won't be building cars anymore, sad as it is.
Possibly have dismantled and shipped their equipment to another plant or possibly sold it all? I really wonder what happens the days after these two cars leave the plant, will it sit like how it is until eventually stuff will get dismantled and everything all cleared out from offices and such, or they'll start immediately once after, nevertheless that Mitsubishi plant's probably empty with maybe a few forgotten things left behind. Would be cool though if they just left everything, and would make an awesome urban explorer find, given nothing gets stolen or vandalized.
Those overhead readouts are usually not the most reliable thing to go off of, as they usually show instant economy, as opposed to an average. And for the 16, what is the truck? That would help quite alot.
I have got a question that may entail the automotive expertise of some of you fine folks on this forum. Here it is: My truck has an aftermarket radio, but it is a bit of an older one, so do any you know of any inexpensive speaker (optimistically less than $60) that I could install that would allow me to play from a small Ipod with a USB connection or headphone jack?
Does it have a cassette tape player? you could just get a cassette tape to aux adapter. not the best, but fairly cheap.
It has a CD insert, but not a cassette. It is not that old, It was put in two owners ago in 2008 or so. It is like one of these little radios, where the front unit is removable and a CD slot is behind it.
Not at all unusual to see a chrysler with bad shocks. Or bad everything. Hell, its very existence is bad as it is.
Nah, our old T&C had an extra bouncy ride when you sat in the rearmost seats. (8 years old when it was totalled.) It's just what they do; be crap.
