Supply versus demand contorts it here. The ae86 was never sold in UK so you're paying for a rare import vehicle.
That or that they have rusted out. I think they might of sold the levin in the UK if i'm not mistaken.
Pop culture (Initial D) coupled with the AE86's fame popularized by Keiichi Tsuchya and his now wildly popular driving style have made this car skyrocket in value. This car is terrible value for money, basically only a true hardcore AE86 enthusiast would buy one nowadays. The MR2 is a good alternative. Cheap as hell, Toyota reliability, plenty of fun, and it will kill you if you're not careful.
While the MR2 is Toyota's first modern sports car, predating the Mazda Miata by 5 years (the MR2 was released in 1984, while the Miata was released in 1989), the MR2 and Miata are unique in terms of styling. The Miata MK1 had styling of the past, but the MR2 had futuristic styling. What I'm saying is that the MR2 is as wedge-shaped as the Bolide, but the Miata on the other hand, is a dated blob on wheels. However, the Miata mostly steals the fame that it and the MR2 was supposed to share, making the MR2 lesser known and thus being harder to find nowadays. Even a rust-free MR2, specifically a MR2 AW11, will set you back about $6,000 on Craigslist or any other car trading website that's out there. However, this guy can describe the MR2 in a way you can't.
Thinking very strongly about pulling some cash out of the bank and bringing this home. 1977 GMC K20, 8K mile dealer installed 350, fairly fresh TH350, Still full-time 4wd. Rust has no been kind, wheel wells are going on all four corners, bed floor is totally gone, rockers are iffy.
An old K20 seems pretty far from your comfort zone. But hey, not complaining, too few people really are into these trucks anymore.
A 6 pack of blue moon will do that to you. in my defense, I'm a philostine, and as such care little for things in the way of grammer or the proper use of latin.
HANG ON. you mean they sell blue moon In quantities greater than 6 bottles? my goodness. That truck would make for a really cool track car trailing vehicle build. install a cooler/fridge and 2k watt Gen in the bed.
Most sold new here and they are very reliable as far as I know. Also we almost don't have rules for old cars.
