Oh, you need a learners permit before you can take the drivers test, and for the permit you have a to take a different test here.
In the wonderful state of Ohio, it's 10 hours of in class, 10 hours of instruction, 50 hours of supervised (nobody does the full 50 hours), then restricted license at 16, less restricted at 17, and no restrictions at 18.
Although it isn't a great looking car, I do have to say that Holden did a great job in improving the design of the Suzuki Ignis. They only had 12 weeks to come up with a new design for Chevrolet and they also created the "Cruze" nameplate, pretty neat.
So I'm getting my learners permit in a little less than a year, and I'll probably get my license about 9 months after that, and I've started to look at some cars. Does anyone have any ideas for a good first car that fits this criteria? Under $10,000 Manual Transmission Somewhat sporty Room for 4-5 passengers (doesn't have to be comfortable, just needs to have the seats) Preferably a coupe/2 door It would be nice to have RWD, but I'd settle for something like a Prelude Thanks for your help and advice! EDIT: I'm in the US, the DC area to be specific.
depends on where you come from i guess amercia then i would say try and find a RX7 because it would fit inyour budget and is sporty
Under $10,000 are you f****** serious. I spent $1250 AUD on my first car and another 500-700 getting it serviced with new tyres, fluids, timing belts, oils and coolants. IMO you should not be spending anything above $3000-4000AUD on your first car because simply, you dont need to. Your first car should just be a cheap, shitty, economical, FWD, MANUAL and small. This is so you learn the basics with something that is not scary to drive nor hard to control and if you crash it you have only lost 3-4000 instead of 6000+.
My first car was an automatic 06 civic coup automatic. got it in 08. it was a salvage job so it was cheap. I loved that car and drove the wheels off it. crashed it twice.
I suppose you're right. I would get a 2nd gen crx si (fits all the catagories you listed) without a second thought, but my parents want me to get something with more passenger capacity. The logical solution would be a civic, but EVREYONE has a Civic. I'll probably end up getting a Prelude, just wanted to see if anyone had other ideas.
Why do they want you to get something with high passenger capacity. Do they want you to work as an Uber?
I mean, I'm shopping exclusively sedans simply because I want to carry stuff without using the trunk and be able to carry people.
Honestly, you'd be better off saving the larger portion of the money for a newer car after you've been driving for a while. Whether it's your fault or someone else's, the car you drive to school is gonna get scratched and dented. Craigslist or an equivalent service is great for finding cheap cars that should fit your needs
You Australians are ruthless. If you scored a crx si that's a nice little snappy run around. everyone does have a civic that's true, but it's up to you to make it stand out or better yet, not stand out. If I had a car to drive in the mean time I'd be pulling my power train out of my 2000 coup and putting it in an 88 to 91 si in a HEARTBEAT. preludes are great too if you don't mind a little extra weight. if you find a clean one, and have turned a wrench before you could do an H22a swap for not that much money and have a blast. even better is the adapter plate that let's you mate an h22 to a b series transmission. if your considering a Honda, anywhere from aperfectly practical daily driver, to a 700bhp hellcat destroyer, send me a pm I'd be glad to give you some advice on what to look for and what to avoid. I've made every mistake so you don't have to.
So I found this: I do seem to recall that there were protests at Trump rallies throughout the election season, but I still doubt that this took place at one of them, given that another video, showing the "post-election protestor tries to block freeway, gets run over by someone who can't stop in time" incident, mentions the same 4chan boards. EDIT: NVM I found more, that was really a Trump rally protest. Costa Mesa.
