Can it be that ordinary cars get slower because the mk1 ford fiesta is 3 seconds faster then the current fiesta both with 60bhp

Didn't even realise you could get a 60hp fiesta though. Thought smallest was the 110PS ecoboost.

Don't forget you're comparing an engine that was pretty much at the top of the range with an engine that sits at the rock bottom of the range today.

Also just realised if i would insure a fiesta with 60 bhp it would be more expensive than a subaru impreza gt turbo or a skoda octavia rs

the new fiesta st will have a 1.5l 3cyl turbo that produces 200 pk while the current 1.6l 4 cyl makes 182 pk the only thing that has been great about the auto industry in the last 5 years that they now have 4 cyl engines with 200-300-350 pk while 20 years back they had 150 at most in my opinion, i just want see more "real" suv's, sedans, coupes, station wagons and pickup truck with big v8 engines lot of torques ideal cruising machines with comfy seating instead of that shitty sport suspension

I wonder what, if any, cars a dealership would let an average looking teenager drive.
I bet if I put some decent clothes on and talked it up as a graduation gift or something they'd throw me the keys to some of their cheaper cars. Maybe. I need to figure out.

Well yeah, that's a WRX. And Subaru dealers are kind of known to be that way about test drives. And I imagine it'd be somewhat different in the UK.
I'm talking like, fleet spec F150s. Nothing fancy.

wasnt a subaru main dealer i got mine from.

Pretty much same with any dealer, they want to know you can buy the car before you are allowed to drive the car

Well, the Subaru dealer I bought my Mustang from let me test drive it. I was 18 at the time.

In fact, the salesman that was walking me through the whole car buying process offered a WRX for test while I waited to get approved. Should've accepted...

Ford loves to give test drives, Subaru is one of the least likely to give test drives in new cars.

If you have proof of insurance and a license they'll probably not ask for much. With ford start with the lower end cars like the v6 mustang or fiesta st and they'll probably just ask if you want the GT or focus ST.

When I was in high school the local Ford dealer would actually come to the school with one of everything, with the sole purpose of test drives.

Whoa, guys, chillax. No need for the claws to come out.

It is a street car and DD. Engine is a 3.1L NA pushrod V6, rated at about 140HP/190tq from the factory. Apparently, it starts getting valve float at around 6K and the connecting rods should be good to 7K, but its power peak is at like 4.2K or something and it's gasping for air by 5.5.
