I can put an in-line electric fuel pump, I've seen it done before, and they seem to be able to pull through the stock in-tank pickup fine.

Assuming I can find a whole LS donor truck, I "should" be able to keep the entire stock harness, ECU, and fuse block and it should work, and the only things I'd have to do is get an O2 sensor and a VSS sensor, and replacing the fly-by-wire throttle with a conventional one.

Even if I still can't get the EFI to play along, I can always get a carbed intake and an MSD box for it if it comes down to it.

Once I get the engine sorted, regardless of whatever route I end up going, SBC, BBC, or LS, I'd still have the axles to tend to. I can get a rear full float 14 bolt around here for around $150-$200, the problem comes from the front end, I'd really, really prefer a Dana 60, but a front Chevy Dana 60 that is in half-way decent shape tends to go for about $700 around here. I'd also really like to find a set with matched gears, because regearing one would probably kill my budget, let alone both.

After a quick look on CL, I found a matched 4.10 full float 14 and a Dana 44 for $500.

    https://springfieldil.craigslist.org/pts/6112784678.html

While a 44 isn't exactly what I want, It is 4.10 geared and comes with a matching 14 bolt, I'll still give him a call.

    EDIT:
Turns out that those axles are almost 220 miles away.

I found something. Two somethings, actually.

These are for sale not too far from here, a pair of 1982 C70's, both with industrial 366 big blocks. They both run fine but need brake work.
Here's the best part, he's asking $800 for the pair of them.

Probably clapped out and the owner couldn't bother fixing it. Apparently that gen had alot of problems.
    Shoulda bought a V3000.

The more I see photos of XR-6 Falcons the more I want one. I better buy one before the Ford nuts start asking a crap ton for shitty examples.

I am loving Mr regulars coverage of UK cars.

Its so strange seeing coverage from your own country. Can't wait to see the rest of it.

So yeah there is or was a Mitsubishi V3000 somewhere in the UK. That body kit looks mad.

It was first registered over there in 2011 (I spy a NZ rego card in the front windscreen)

Holy crap. Someone just reversed their car into a lamppost at 3AM outside my flat. Made an almighty crash, sounded like someone had smashed a glass bottle against the railings outside my flat. You can still hear (and see) the lamppost swaying by the time I grabbed my phone and started recording. Due to how dark it was I couldn't see much, but after the end of the video they spent 3 mins picking up bits of smashed plastic off the floor and started kicking the rear bumper presumably to check it was still secure. Also strange how it was a fairly modern/new Vauxhall people carrier too.

Strange thing is there was already one guy stood behind the car within the time it took for me to move to the window which is about a meter away from me (so 2 seconds at most), so I can only assume there was one stood outside helping the other to reverse before the crash.

Its not even like it was a busy road, there was a kerb between them and the lamppost too. Muppets...

Saw a my first SVX in dad's friend's garage. His SVX is two tone red and black (best color imo) and has pretty nice aftermarket alloys. In the recent summers I've seen him driving it around every now and then as he started to use it as a summer daily. He really wanted me to buy it at some point. Shame I don't have space to store such a gem.
