Isn't this the wrong thread for that? Yesterday i saw a really nice Honda civic from the 2000's, it was modified but really nicely. It had that awesome grey paint job and was lowered (but not a huge amount) and was left mostly stock, as it drove past it had one of those transmissions that makes the pshhh noise when it changes gear (that's a technical term right ). Those Honda's can look really good when they are not riced. As for Cars that i wouldn't mind having, i think the new Skoda Fabia would be pretty nice.
Yep, it's wrong, haha. Clicked on GD from my page activity and forgot that forum has a lot of off-topic discussions. Sorry, moderators
That noise isn't the transmission. It's the blowoff valve for the turbocharger. Letting off the throttle but maintaining full boost damages the engine so it has a valve to dump the excess air, valve opening, whoosh. So likely turbocharged. Dunno if those civics had turbo from factory or not, popular addition to the naturally aspirated models at any rate. As for the fabia. Decent looking cars I think, plus underneath they are essentially just a VW Polo. Basically getting yourself a Polo for less money, which I'd say is pretty good.
Thing is, the design of the Pinto is objectively bad. Well, unless of course you enjoy explosions on your daily drive.
I think they can look good in the right light. They were pretty light weight to. The 302 could be opened up fairly easily to. My great grandfather had a Pinto when my dad was kid so I'm kind of predisposed. Similar to this. Had a 2.8L Cologne V6 in it to. Pinto's can look good with some work.
Many pickups from the 40's-60's had the fuel tank RIGHT behind the seats. Surprised that never became a big issue. V8 swap? I think the 302 from the Mustang should be a somewhat simple swap... Looks like you could actually fit it down trails unlike most of the Bro Trucks.
I like some of the foxbodies. The earlier ones with the quad headlights looked pretty nice imo. The Holden would look a lot better if it didn't have so much plastic tacked onto it. Under the cladding, it isn't a bad looking car.
Whoever said a diesel car cannot be jump started from a petrol is just plain wrong. Did it this morning, again....
Of course it can. It just draws a lot more power, so you need to be sure the other battery and the cable inbetween can handle that amount of current.
Today was fords 1.8 litre zetec jumping a toyota 2.2 D4-D. Previously I've done a 1.0 GM Family 0 engine (3 cylinders of no horsepower with a measly 40Ah battery) jumping a mitsibushi 4M40 2.8l turbodiesel. Yet many times I have had people telling me that you absolutely cannot do it. Well fuck them sideways with a pineapple.
