Ya, we pass our driving test with a manual gearbox. No surprise they drive at 16, even a 2 years old could drive with an auto.
So i just watched an old top gear episode were they had a overfinch range rover and they look awesome i think that just went into my dream car garage with the r32 and the alfa giulia qv
I suspect he means the newest USDM Focus ST. The only other ST we had was a facelifted gen 1 trying to emulate the gen 2 sold elsewhere, and was inferior to the SVT (similar to ST170?) version of the pre-facelift gen 1. I assume you had a gen 1, so if he had the older USDM ST, it might have a handle, but the newest one may not.
That photo was a gen 2... It's standard equipment in all models, body styles and generations of focus --- Post updated --- That's a gen 3 photo --- Post updated ---
oh, my bad I'm mistaken I was thinking the fiesta ST, not the Focus ST I rode in both on the same day, and both where brutal, but there was no grab handle on the fiesta
Is it, in other European countries, that if you want to drive a manual gearbox car you have to pass a driving test with a manual? Because that's the only reason I chose to learn stick. Otherwise I would HAVE to choose an automatic, which I hope I will get rid in the future....
No, either you pass your test with a manual gearbox, either you pass your test with a manual gearbox. That's make total sense, I've never seen in person an automatic gearbox. Here at least
I'm surprised you managed to get that much, AFAIK crown vics are getting pretty cheap nowadays. Planning on buying another car?
Most police vics are cheap because they get no love and they're pieces of junk. A well maintained vic for a decent price is a pretty easy sale in the sea of overpriced ragged ones. I have the Yukon to drive for now. Eventually I wanna get ahold of a supercharged buick regal though.
That sounds similar to the CDL test here, you can take the test with an automatic, but you'll have a restriction on your license that says you can only drive trucks with automatics, whereas if you take the test with a manual, you're good for manual and auto. Though this is only a recent thing, as a large class 7 or 8 truck with an automatic transmission would have been unheard of 15-20 years ago.
I passed my driving test in one of these ugly and boring pieces of crap. But i daily drive the car in my profile picture, which is a manual.
Those police vics were no junk, considering the police engine was at best three hundred bhp, and they literally never die.
Not even. They made 250hp/297lb-ft at their height. Which is "sufficient" considering it was never meant to run 10's at the drag strip, it was meant to have the ever loving shit kicked out of it for 300,000 miles or more.
