$3500 seems pretty high to me, but that's just comparing that to local prices.

I can't say enough good things about ORD, here's your steering brace.
    http://offroaddesign.com/catalog/steeringkit.htm

Full float vs semi float, with a semi float axle, the axle shaft carries the weight of the load itself, and if it were to break, the wheel itself would come off, whereas with a full float, the axle tube housing carries the weight, and the axle shaft only powers it, which is a much stronger design, and if the shaft were to break, you'd lose power to the wheel, instead of the wheel coming off.

As for telling the two apart, you can look at your Cummins, you've got a full floating rear, and a semi - floating front, take your hubcaps off and look at them, the rear with have a large hub with 8 bolts on the axle shaft cover, while the front won't have a large hub like the rear.

Well, we don't pay many taxes on second hand car. The real issue would be the cost of the fuel! If it's already pretty Bas in the US imagine in Europe.

hence is why things like the yugo failed in the us why get a new timing chain for some little import for 3500 when I can get a reliable used domestic that costs next to nothing for repairs

Likely be sold, they will probably do special edition models for collectors & enthusiasts with deep pockets. Much like the limited number LS9 powered GTS-R they currently have on offer

It would be neat. But I am not sure it is in Tesla's interests to do that. Tesla seems to be focusing on the software and sensor side of their cars a lot, and the self driving side of the ecosystems. So I imagine their goal isn't to sell as many chassis as possible, having said that though, Musk is a pretty nerdy guy, so its possible that he could see the cool side in the idea.

I think they did. Are you talking about tractor pull? Because if you are I think that they were NA at that point in time.

I'm talking about super stock. It was a NHRA league of the 60s. I might make a config+skin replicating one.

It seems like everyone hate chromes this days. Am I the only one who love having chromes everywhere on his cars?

Okay, I understand now. I believe they were supercharged. My grandfather has shown me a lot of pictures of them. Also yes, chrome does rock.

I definitely wouldn't call that aged. Again, I'm not entirely sure. Some of them might have been carburetted.
