good luck with that, a decent rb26 in germany would probably cost more than the car you will put it in. As well as you have to custom make engine mounts, tranny mounts, linkages. Just buy something cheap and fully strip it. Thats the easiest way to go fast.

A 2jz swap actually is somewhat easyer to do as they were available here. I also found a toyota celica for 600 euros would it be a good racecar? Its the one with pop up headlights and the 4A-FE engine

Depends what it weighs. Just make sure you strip out absolutely everything . 600 Euros seems a bit much though, just buy something really cheap but atleast works. Do some research and see what would be a good base first though.

Almost blew a spark plug out of the vic. A loud ticking, which sounded almost like an exhaust leak at the manifolds, appeared out of nowhere last night. I figured that's what it was.
Did a little bit of research and found that a ticking noise like that can be the sound of a spark plug that has worked loose and is getting ready to blow out. Checked the torque on all of my plugs and one was finger tight, with only a couple threads engaged. I tightened it up and the noise is gone. It wasn't the plug that I messed with when fixing the misfire either.

RB25 will be better choice as they used that engine in alot of Nissan sedans back in the day, plus its a popular engine swap choice here in NZ.

1jz is another option as they used that in the chaser and the mk II so it will be far more easier to source than a 2jz (unless you want the non turbo)

Wait until you have the skills and good contacts with metalworking skills before you take on a major job like this.

Different displacement mostly around 0.1 liters.

2.5 6 cylinder engines were fairly common at the time (rb25,1jz,6a13TT etc)
