I need a vomit bag..... Saw like 12 Ricers today. Worst two were a Lancer with this huge wing, and a stanced Mustang.

I guess it's Ford experimenting for new engines for models, like for example the Mustang.

My guess is that theyre going to replace every other i4 engine with the ecoboost 3 and 4 cylinders

    If not, it's probably a Mustang-exclusive engine.

Sounds like revolutionary engineering for Ford then, if every car is gonna be using the Ecoboost engine. (Atleast in Europe.)

I'd prefer it Mustang-exclusive, considering that it was the first (atleast from what I see) car to use the Ecoboost, and that it actually works as a variant to the model.

Yes, the Focus and Focus RS are available here. Not the Fiesta, but I think that we might have a different version of the Ecoboost.

Probably the Ecosport, which shares the prefix Eco-.

Ecoboost is just a thing that means turbo, there's many models of ecoboost and they've been on the roads for about a decade. The Mustang motor is also in the focus RS with boost turned up and larger intercooler
    --- Post updated ---
The 1.0 ecoboost is in the focus in the US and it's a 3 cylinder. A few of the American ford trucks have 6 cylinder ecoboost motors.

Ecoboost for ford just means turbo

That explains why it uses "boost" in the name, it's a synonym for turbo. I wouldn't say that it needs to be the main engine of Ford, but it still seems like a good enough engine that I would daily with one.

I don't think the 1.0 is available in the Focus, just in the Fiesta ST.

I'm sure that the 2018 Fiesta ST will have the Ecoboost engine.

Nope, it is. Here in the US, we got the 1.0 SFE Focus and 1.0 SFE Fiesta. I almost traded my Mustang for a Fiesta SFE. Almost.
