...although made the 928 creepy. Back to the RDX, the side actually looks pretty great, possibly the best part of the car, reminds me of the MDX from last year.
I just found this Grand Prix on Shitty Car Mods and I kinda like it It just need some different wheels and it would be 10 outta 10
The SS was not advertised because they knew it would sell well. General Motors knew from 2014 that Holden was going to be closed, so they didn't want to bother with the car.
When you put it that way, it then seems like they wasted time and money with it. It's a shame really.
"Slowly" may be giving them too much credit. They would have spiralled into the ground at the speed of sound long ago if not for their rich uncle Sam.
I've been wondering why Holden isn't going to produce their own cars anymore, but rather do imports instead. Couldn't a decision like this drive them into the ground?
because GM stopped them? It wasnt holdens choice, it was GMs. Holden hasnt actually turned a profit in a few decades though. Nor did Opel. Its why GM sold opel and shut production of holdens
Same as every other company in automobiles. Lincoln follow what Ford does, because Ford controls them. (Mercury's dead, so I'm not counting them.)
GM already went bankrupt in 2009 and the government had to bail them out. Chrysler became this monstrosity known as FCA. Ford is the only American car company that actually survived the late 2000s economic crisis mostly intact.
Well, except for Mercury, got infected like good ol' Pontiac. Lincoln also was able to survive along with Ford though.
2009 was a pretty shitty year now that I think of it, I mean here's a list of banks acquired or bankrupted during the Great Recession https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_banks_acquired_or_bankrupted_during_the_Great_Recession
Wow the economic crisis hit you really hard. We in germany sold as many cars as never before wich is wierd in a crisis
I think the biggest reason Holden never turned a profit is because it was never a major export. The Commodore was one of Australia's best selling cars & for years has been THE best selling car. If they sold it in other markets (and actually marketed the bloody thing), it would've turned a profit.
But it would only be exported in America and Canada, Europe is not as much of a fan of the V8 as us Yanks, and you Aussies, and Canucks like V8s too.
