Bad news for you Chrysler fans, Chrysler might be defunct tomorrow, they only have 2 cars, the 300, and picifica. There are plans to make self driving picifica hybrids with Google. Also, fiats might not be sold to the us.

Chrysler has had only 2 models for ages. This doesn't mean Chrysler is going defunct soon. Self-driving Google Pacificas already exist.

If Chrysler kicks the bucket, what will happen to Fiat and Dodge?

Oh boy, get a load of this.

I think that we're through the worst, the holy trinity of hypercars took most of the flak for being hybrid imo.

German auto-makers employ well over 10000 factory workers in the US in US based factories and produce countless more jobs in sales, administration etc. So is his plan is remove all those jobs from the US? Probably not.

Its quite likely that he is using this to try and threaten German auto-makers. To then create a situation where he can agree to "back down" if they promise to move more production to US soil. This is a pattern that Trump seems to pull a lot. Of course this is very against free market principles which his party claims to be for, but it does seem to be quite effective at forcing private companies to do what the government wants them too. So providing you want the same things as his top campaign contributors and friends, all is good?...

I should add that I am working from this article (hopefully its the same topic as the one you linked), since aol's new GDPR policies aren't that nice:

I seriously hope he won't try to push them out. It's every American's given right to own a German automobile if they wish to.

But I can't help but notice that it's not like what he said about Ford moving production of some of their cars to Mexico to make room for the Ranger and the Bronco. He just criticized their choice to do so.

Speaking of, wouldn't their US-built cars be partially or completely immune to tarriffs or am I just being stupid here?

Also, I don't think Trump ever claimed to be for 100% free international trade. His stated agenda for the entire campaign and his entire presidency has been to put the United States first, and like it or not, a nation does have a right to impose tariffs on imported goods. Furthermore, all of this is consistent with his previous assertions that our trade relationships with some other countries are abusive in their favor; I believe he's said the same thing (and correctly) about Japan before. Everyone wants unfettered access to our gigantic markets, but they don't want to reciprocate.

I have heard it said a million times, that more power and torque does not necessarily equal more fun, but I have just had that realisation in full. I have a rear wheel drive vehicle in BeamNG, with an i4 turbo it is quite nice to drive in its current form, the V6 model is a bit of a pig however. The i4 turbo can be easily drifted around corners, trail braked into them, and it is generally very happy to dance around. The V6 is all over the shot, just too much power for a small car to handle in its current configuration, its snaps all over the place, especially on throttle, and is incredibly difficult to control.

Obviously a lot of this will be down to the chassis and setup in this case, since the two cars are identical bar powertrain (engine, gearbox, diff [ratio changes only]), clearly with more power (and a few extra kg) wheel alignment is going to have to change a fair bit to keep the vehicle in check. The vehicle is also not finished, so everything is not setup perfectly, therefore there might be bigger contributing issues.

Equally, a big part of this will be how I am driving them and the extra speed the V6 enables the car to travel at. But IMO it just isn't as fun as the I4 in a 1100kg vehicle.

Its incredible how big a difference power output can have on a vehicles handling characteristics.

Torque Curves just to show both engines are sensible:
