Isn't it pretty easy to find an LSD kit for a crown vic? I found this one. Works for 2005.5 and newer, for older ones you need a 28 spline one apparently.
If he has the money, maybe he should complete the sedan-utility-sports trinity and get a Corvette or a Mustang GT?
any other mechanics know what this means? its a VW bora 1.6 , something to do with the canbus system but what is a sporadic?
It would be easy, but I'm not keeping it around. This Vic will be gone within the next few weeks. I'm probably gonna buy another crown Vic to resale after I sell the one I have. I'll just make sure the next ones have a limited slip. Eventually I want to work my way up to hemi chargers and apply the same procedure to them. buy-beat-sell-profit I get a pretty hefty discount on enterprise sale cars too. --- Post updated --- I think sporadic indicates an intermittent electrical problem.

As for my vacation sights, the interesting stuff I saw on Costa Dorada were a Renault 6, a RR Phantom and an Audi R8 with a tuner exhaust, plus a 60s Oldsmobile 98 coupe at Okęcie Airport and an Aston Martin Vanquish convertible with a bag on the backseat at El Prat. Though Americans would probably be quite interested by the EUDM cars of the area, like the Dacia Lodgy taxi we took.

About half of these cars can or could be bought in Poland. In fact, the Matiz was a great success in its day.

I'm not sure how wealthy the area you visited was. I don't know a whole lot about Mexico or that section of the world. But in some countries some of the cars on your list are those cars in badge only. As far as I am aware, in poorer countries some brands take the last generation vehicles and put more modern bodywork on them, allowing them to make a cheaper car without needing to do any research or development, while still looking up to date. Some other brands remove structural components from cars too to save money, in these cases the chassis are far far weaker and don't stand up well to crashes For example the Indian version of the Hyundai I10*: The cars structure was rated as being unstable, and as can be seen no airbags etc. *Versions sold in more wealthy nations get much higher safety ratings.
It was around the Riveria Maya area (which is sorta wealthy), but even with that, you still will find cars that are somewhat cheap. The most common vehicles around the area (that isn't a van) is the vehicles like the Chevy (the car, not the brand's nickname), the March, and the Tsuru. I also forgot to list the VW Clasico.
That's kinda how Poland looked before the EU, but with different models - we mostly had different FSOs (cheap), Fiat (more midrange) and Daewoo (newer, nicer cars), plus some used German imports. Then the EU came, lower tariffs meant an explosion in used car imports and most cars are now used car imports from Germany, mostly German brands.
Also, remember when I made that post (I seriously regret making that post) where I said "I've never seen a Suburban before"? Yeah, that post is now complete BS (and made me look like I was brain-dead). Not only have I actually seen multiple Suburbans already, I've actually seen the newer Suburbans (and I did see that it was pretty much a LWB Tahoe, like with the other Suburbans).
I just found out how god damned powerful car ac is, it's madness. Think about it, you are driving along when it's sunny and say 35c out, the car is drawing in air from outside! cooling it from 35c to 5c ish and battling all the solar gains from the windows. That's a lot of heat being expelled! And that's at 2000RPM maybe, what if you revved it to 4000RPM, granted you don't get double the capacity because the evap/cond are too small for that much, but still impressive performance.. For example, (@MarkosRuiz you know this car ) the Ssangyong Rodius has two aircons, one in front one in rear (two evaporators and a huge condensor, plus a small one under the car!) And at 3000RPM the car can have around 17Kw of cooling capacity!!! You could cool down a house with that much! Granted that car has a big AC compressor, but even a Honda Jazz (Fit) has about half that, which is still an impressive 8.5kw cooling! Also, this cooling amount is derived from well how hot the interior air is, this kind of cooling could cool a 50c interior, but it won't be this high keeping a 25c interior cool. (less heat transfer, means less high pressure, means less horsepower to drive compressor, meaning less cooling)
sporadic means its logged a fault a few times, but it keeps disappearing and it cant currently replicate it. Data bus for comfort system, that will be one of the LIN or SENT harnesses. Likely a cracked wire or dodgy connector of some sort thats vibrating loose over a bump or something
That whole car is incredible, the alternator is super powerful too. Our AC needs to be recharged, I'll do it next week probably. One day I had to clean the interior with a high detail and more or less fast and I had the car parked outside (it was too hot) with the engine on and the air conditioning at full speed at 19ºC like 2 hours or so, and even with some doors open because I was cleaning, it was like a refrigerator, sometimes I was cold, I had the hood open for better heat disipation but it didn't overheat thus being a very hot engine.
Today, my dad has to go to the local Honda dealership because of a Takata airbag recall we received yesterday.
