Eh, its a hit or miss kind of thing. I saw some cars on the lot that were obviously mercilessly beat on day in and day out for well over 200k miles that still ticked along like a clock. I mean, if you take proper care of them they'll run forever. I'm sure the transmission and suspension were all in need of a nice rebuild/refresh though. But city police cars are always beat to hell.
People always hate on the Mustang II but the first year of the Mustang II is the 4th best selling Mustang of all time. It didn't even offer a V8 that year.
Hunted down the crown vics that Blount County is selling. Their actual location was listed nowhere on govdeals. Used the pictures to determine that the cars are parked at a jail, then used google maps to find a Blount county jail with a bunch of crown vics parked behind it. Pics of them are in here for anyone that cares, don't want to post a wall of irrelevant pictures. All of the cars for sale were unlocked and had the keys either in the ignition or tossed onto the seats. Pics in here for anyone that cares. Found the one that I'm interested in. It was a county corrections car, so it probably hasn't seen months of idle time or any pursuits or belligerent drunks in the back. Also has only 117k miles. It's the one on the right in that pic The interior is in good shape, just needs a good cleaning. I wanna buy it then sell it.
I'd really like to get ahold of a Crown Vic or Grand Marquis, The only thing I really have against them is the 4.6. Between all the DNR & DOT trucks, friends trucks, and a neighbors 4.6 Thunderbird, I've grown to hate the 4.6, 5.4, and 6.8 V10's, with a passion. When I worked with the DNR I drove a 00 4x4 F450 that had a 6.8 V10 in it almost daily, this truck only has about 52,000 miles on it, and while it had plenty of power, it had a never ending spark knock, and had a bad habit of killing coil packs. Not long after I started there I decided to change the spark plugs in it, and about 5 hours later they were changed, after having to pull both inner fenders, go in under the steering column, laying on the tire, one spark plug on each side managed to brake off and take and hour each just to get out. After that we decided to let the Ford dealer do it, to the tune of $400. If the mid 90's Panther's had a 302 or 351, I'd have been on that like stink on shit.
My '99 Ford E150 305,000 Miles 4.6 Sohc 2v. with a nice 3.55 LSD Its my Daily Driver The H-Series Van in game is almost close in performance with mine with a 3.55 lsd and good shift points. My Real Specs are 259hp and 308ft lb torque on the Dyno. not a race car since its 5,000lbs but very fun to spin tires whenever i want and has no problem pushing someone off road that wants to brake check me in a Honda
I think it'd be really cool to have a full size van. I'd like buy a cargo van and bolt a shitty couch down in the back or something. It'd also be cool to buy a short bus and do the same.
one I have driven a ute in a paddock and two I was just making pedophile jokes as there is that image of a pedophile having a creepy van so that was the first thing that came to mind.
The joke didn't phase me as i found humor in it.. i do have window decals that say free candy that i will put on the side windows.. but in America we call ute's pickup's.. u said u driven one do u drive one daily is it yours any pics?
That is quite condescending, he isn't so closed minded as knowing what a truck is... He probably has driven one but doesn't own one.
I know quite a bit about cars as I have been into them since a really really young age. heck people were surprised when I knew every manufactures name of the cars in a supermarket parking lot and I was just a toddler. I am getting ready to sit my learners test in a months time and I might be getting my parents 96 civic at Christmas time, getting my drivers license is a big milestone in my life. - - - Updated - - - I found this its an interesting article. http://www.therandomautomotive.com/2015/09/mustang-taillight-guide.html who in the world would abandon perfectly good mustangs. http://www.therandomautomotive.com/2015/06/rental-car-graveyard-in-hawaii.html
