Cadillac: You are the car of the senile, brand loyal, baby boomers. You are not Scion. No real young people can afford your cars. No young people LIKE your cars. Make an affordable sports car along the lines of a 240z and I will reconsider.
While I certainly dont like the ad, Cadillac is a luxury car brand so wouldn't it make sense for them to have all kinds of fancy things in their cars?
I'd gladly take a CTS or something. And I know a 26-year-old guy who's into cars and nearly bought a CTS before opting for a truck. Also, GM has such a car. It's the Chevrolet Camaro, and I don't think you bought one. --- Post updated --- Auto Union/Audi was seen as a low-end brand until the mid-70s, and look where they got.
Well, I never though that Cadillac would actually take some parts from their Escalade onto the new US presidential limousine. It doesn't look too bad though.
Unless I was rich as hell, I wouldn't have $60k in my 20s. If I had 60k, I would buy a Corvette, but for $30-40k,the Camaro is a very good option.
Ever heard of a Mustang? The new ones with the independent rear/peformance package are brilliant. Also, Coyotes are much better than a LS/LT. It is actually a modern design, and not the same design that has been in use since 1957.
Highly false. The only thing an LS and a SBC have in common are I believe the crank bolts. Absolutely everything else is different. What you're thinking of is the SBC, which started out in life as a 262cuin engine and was made all the way up to 400cuin. There were even modernish designs like the LT5 which had Lotus designed DOHC cylinder heads. They were made all the way up until 2002 in the Chevy Express and GMC Savannah in 350cuin 4in bore configuration. There isn't really anything all that modern about the Coyote, believe it or not. It's part of the Ford Modular family, made in Windsor, Ontario. It has the same firing order of the flathead Ford, uses the same block design as the 4.6L it replaced, and weighs about as much, maybe a bit less.
They are different body styles of 3-series and A4. Mustang and Camaro are purpose-built performance cars. If they were similar, they would have looked like this:
