Never thought it was that small, this disproportional swelled nose makes it look much bigger. This car seems to be styled after a tadpole.
My point about wagon degradation still stands though.

Probably aerodynamics related to help with fuel economy, with the added benefit of more crumple zone space.

Is there a way to run a classic car on ethanol? It would be a damn shame if in ten years, all these classics become paperweights because some bureaucrats decided they don't like them.

There would probably be some exceptions to collectors I imagine, maybe you would have to go through a more complex process,to be allowed to operate a gas-powered vehicle, but they might be still around and usable ten years from now. As to if classic cars running on ethanol, I don't really know. It might require modifications to certain systems, but I've never tinkered around with that before.

Ethanol is a real pain for fuel systems and carbon buildup, and that’s not even mentioning the fact it turns into water when it sits. The octane level is wicked low (sub 85) so it’s awful for N/A cars with any real compression. It does not preignite that easily but it’s still a downgrade for naturally aspirated motors.

In theory, you could, but it would not be as good as a gas system by a long shot.

Now you finally get a first peek of the production model (even though the Detroit Auto Show debut is still a few days away).

today I figured out my bronco retains heat better than my Mom's 2014 KIA.
    20F outside
KIA after sitting for about a half hour :around 20F(freezing my ass off after leaving a restaurant and the engine was also nearly at the cold mark)
Bronco after sitting for several weeks: around 30F(tolerable)
how does this work? the roof is mostly fiberglass and there is nothing under the carpet for insulation.

I am starting to like the 4 cylinder Mustang. I don't like the car itself, but the fact that Ford is using the 2.3 in all of its new cars and the Mustang comes with a manual. This means that in 10 years I might buy a salvage Mustang and a Ford Ranger, Explorer, or whatever else I like that they have and manual swap it.

Because fiberglass. The insulation in the roof of the Kia prevents heat from the sun getting into the car. The fiberglass won't. Plus you'll have more glass. Leave a glass box in the sun, they get warm.

ethanol eats away at older sealing technologies, would need a few changes. Even modern fuel pumps needed changing for ethanol to stop eating them.

False. Ethanol is 109 RON and 90MON giving 99.5AKI. methanol is 109RON and 89MON resulting in 99AKI. It's why ethanol is specifically used as an octane booster, it's also why ethanol is specifically used as a race fuel for ultra high boost or ultra high compression applications.
Plus. The quoted octane is higher than many classics were designed for so still wouldn't be an issue.

The issues with ethanol aren't octane, octane is what it's incredible at. Its a solvent and has a low calorific content. Some materials will dissolve in ethanol. Gasoline typically has about 44.4/Kg of energy, versus ethanol only having 26.8. so it's going to result in less power. There is another Downside that does offset for this though.
Its stoichiometric ratio is lower. Where you burn about 1g of fuel for 14g of air typically, ethanol you need to burn 1g of fuel per 9g of air. You need to add about 50% extra fuel, resulting in the energy extracted versus gasoline going up 50%. You may have less energy in ethanol by mass, but you're also burning a higher mass (you still fall a bit short but not much).

Ethanol does not become water while just sat in a container. Else your alcoholic beverages would do the same and the bottles of the stuff in science labs across the world would do the same. It's much simpler than that. Water is present in gasoline fuel tanks too. It gets in through the evap mechanisms. Ethanol is then a good dehumidifier compound, but, so is gasoline, both suck the moisture from the air in the tank.

    Tide pods veterans grew up?
Also featuring our ancient nemesis Jake Paul, thankfully Youtube removed his video about driving and running in traffic while blindfolded.

I don't understand. What is this Bird Box thing all about?

It's honestly impossible to be surprised that a Paul would do something like that. What's actually kinda surprising is that Youtube removed it. I mean AFAIK, nothing's been done about the video that PewDiePie talked about where Jake pretty much promotes gambling to kids.

Wow. If you are not smart or responsible enough to know that would not end well, you really should not have a license.

Unlike birdbox challenge, gambling is not a life threatening activity.

Doing stuff blindfolded like characters of the recent Birdbox movie. In the movie, people blindfold themselves to avoid seeing monsters so horrible everyone who sees them commits suicide. In real life, this may work otherwise.

There's this Netflix-exclusive horror film called "Bird Box", where they will have to be blindfolded from the monsters in the film, otherwise they'll be motivated to kill themselves. It's also based off the novel of the same name.

But apparently, some people thought it was "smart" to make a challenge based off the movie. From what I can tell, the reported was a recreation of the scene where the first victim of the incident causes a major crash by driving insanely in a Cherokee and causes multiple other deaths.

That is somewhat true. Ethanol wicks moisture FAR more than other fuels. It may as well be effectively water, since it absorbs so much moisture from the air.

Then again, my car’s evap system is garbage so I may be falling victim to it more than others.

Also, true, the energy content is crap. That might of been what I was confusing.

Gotcha. It's honestly not surprising to me that there are people out there who'd take it lightly and do stupid stuff.

Sure, but there is stupid stuff, and then there is driving down a road blindfolded in a pickup truck.

Looking at the other car, it would seem they were about a meter away from having a head on collision, rather than hitting the side of it (as well as the lamppost and wall that they subsequently hit afterwards).

EDIT: I take some of the above back, it actually looks like they must have been travelling in the same direction as the car that they hit due to the side of the vehicles that the damage was on. So they must have veered out of their lane, hit the side of the other car, then grabbed the wheel swinging the car off the other side of the road into the lamppost and wall.
