My mom's car broke down in the grocery store parking lot today. I banged on the fuel tank with the windshield scraper and it managed to start again so it's likely the fuel pump. I was able to get it to the mechanic luckily, even with no idle, so I guess we'll find out for sure tomorrow.

whoops, driving round at my grandad's factory, absolutely ragging a petrol sprinter around there, trips to 6000RPM, well the neighbours were driving up and down looking through the gates, so i'm not in my grandad's good books atm :p nvm the fact that i got the van stuck on the mud, since it was very wet, didn't realise how wet it was.. turns out it's a rear wheel drive van also :p got the tractor to push it out, now there is big deep brown tracks where i just had the van in first gear holding the revs at 2000 whilst he was pushing me with the tractor :p even put the clutch down to see how much the tractor is pushing and well the tractor was doing all the work :p, made no difference at all, not going quick obviously, say 3-4mph..

soo, i think maybe me and him might go halves on a car, one to just trash.. say a $200-300 one, that we don't care that much for.. that would be really fun :)

With mom's car out of commission, I was forced to drive mine in the snow with shite tires. The results were predictable.

I think he’s asking what it was that put the car out of commission. You thought it was the fuel pump at first, confirmed to be the problem?

I actually like what Alpina did here with their new B7. Although we still have that grille, the car actually looks good with the custom parts.

Just got back from the shop (they were busy and didn't get to it on Friday, and they're closed on weekends). It looks like probably the VTEC solenoid was stuck on, but of course the problem fixed itself by the time they got to it. We're going to keep an eye on it and see if it happens again.

Unintentionally got a respectable amount of air doing 95mph on a two lane road in a Charger.

Fun fact: according to the press release, the grille was actually consulted with current and prospective buyers.

The backlash in Western media is likely because many of the big grille's supporters aren't Western.

    Huh, I never knew that.

My only grudge with the grille is that I think the kidney grilles are a bit too "fat", and looks weird on the car. The rest of the 7-Series looks decent/good.
