Mustang's are too overrated and generally not cool enough for them to be absolutely ruined by an environmentally friendly model.
You know how low the MSRPs are on those? You don't become the world's (including Europe's) best-selling sports car for nothing.
...you know that BMW still makes M cars, right? Those are easily the most overrated cars on the planet.
How so? Most reviewers seem to have positive opinions on most of the M range. The engines are well regarded, as are the chassis dynamics. The interiors are of a pretty good build standard too. Not to mention how practical they often are. Reliability is of course a weak point. But otherwise, there isn't much to criticise. (To be clear, I don't agree that the Mustang is overrated either)
Good != not overrated. Many good things are overrated. They're overpriced, over hyped, and I feel equal to or better performance can be found from other brands (even other European ones) for much less money. They've also ruined the M5 by making it AWD and a turbo, but that's just, like, my opinion, man.
Just went to have a look at what cars AMG actually sell. Turns out, quite a few xD And to be clear, that is just the AMG models, the full Mercedes lineup is bigger: I mean, I knew they had a big lineup of cars, but couldn't they organise them a little better?
Also doesn't really help them when the C, E, and S Class all look the same, and all their SUVs are go under the name GLsomething.
Today I found this on Google Maps, and haven't been able to stop laughing since. Whoever wrote that slogan, needs to have a slight rethink xD Especially given MG's reputation, even more so from the Rover days.
The new M5 is nuts, from what I’ve heard. My dad got to drive one a few months back and said it’s totally nuts. Where I think you may be selling the M range a bit short though. As a package, especially in non-competition M5 spec, they’re a good proposition. They’re aren’t many cars that are so docile when driving normally, comfortable, practical, and yet, when thrashed, are a total hoon. I don’t think that they were ruined by turbocharging, and that’s from a heartily pro N/A guy. The torque comes on like a freight train at low RPMs, they make good power, and, in the M5, have very little lag. The AWD is capable of full RWD biasing and the traction systems are fully defeatable. Yes, they’re expensive, but as a single car, they’re arguably perfect. I would like to see a fully lightweight special with RWD (see the Balboni Gallardo) but that would remove some practicallity. And I get that M5s aren’t your cup of tea, and I don’t blame you. They’re often driven by corporate managers, but when you look at what it actually is, apart from image, it’s spectacular.
See I get some minor confusion on it, but they're fairly different. And for the SUVs its super easy because it's just the sedan plus GL. GLA(hatch), GLC, GLE, GLS.
I think the issue I take with it, is if some wants "an saloon car", and they see that list of cars, what chance do they have of finding what they are looking for. They all look about the same size in the photos, and with Mercedes current naming scheme, how are they to know if they want a saloon from the saloon section, or a saloon from the coupe section?
But Chavs ages 5 to 50 fawn over M cars, so I don't see your point. Also, rednecks don't drive Mustangs, they drive Camaros because "MAH CHEVY MAKES MURICA GREAT AGAIN YEEEEEEE HAWWWW" then they go and fuck their cousin. So people like Shotgun Chuck, really.
Being Portuguese myself, that would probably be why my phone decided I was talking with my grandmother and I just didn't catch it.
I am, but you've said some things in the recent past that have straight up made me question your sanity.
