I did some calculations for the massive ship engine. The numbers were rounded at the end of the calculations.

4 HP per liter, or 3 kW per liter.
221 ft/lb per liter, or 300 nm per liter = Unsurprisingly, this thing is a torque monster.

You still have to factor in the increased weight of the somewhat larger engine.

It probably is. It definitely looks like a monster, that's for sure.

For one, it's a publicity stunt. That alone isn't enough to bother me, but the fact that it's extremely forced is. Why would they so obviously highlight the first letter of each word? Plus, they purposefully included "special" in the acronym but not "edition." They didn't even need an 'S' in the acronym—the joke would have landed the same, if not better, without it—and yet they did it anyway. I get it's a joke, and it's funny in the way a Top Gear sight gag is funny, but it just irrationally angers me that they executed it so poorly.

Hey SuperAusten64, believe it or not. I actually like the body style of the Mercury Monterey. I don't know if the Mercury Monterey is reliable though. By the way, I have a question for you. Do you actually dislike the Mercury Monterey?

It's a hilarious example of badge engineering at its near-worst. It's just a slightly longer and (at the time) more expensive Ford Freestar with different badges and a slightly nicer interior. A minivan is a symbol of the average suburban family, so why would they badge one as a Mercury, a brand primarily targeted at younger people with no children?

I have no problems with the car itself, or anyone who bought or owns one, but the idea of a Mercury minivan (that includes the Villager too) just seems dumb from a marketing point of view.

Fair enough, though a lot of Mercury look like Fords to me. For example, the 1961 Mercury M-100 pickup truck looks very similar to the 1961 Ford F-100 pickup truck. Also, I'm pretty sure Mercury and Ford are made by the same company, but I could be wrong.

By the way SuperAusten64, what do you think of my new profile pic?

Yes, this is because Mercury was created by Ford.

If you want to learn more about badge engineering, @GWMan, you can read about it here.
    It's very nice.
