Lucky. That's a bitch of a job. I notice a spotlight handle. Does it work? I actually really like mine. It's pretty handy.
Drove my moms 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT 3.8L. 6-Speed Auto. Steering is pretty tight and feeling is good for a minivan. It's a bit to light for my taste. The 6-Speed makes it peppy to 30mph but after that it is a dog. It is way to heavy for the 3.8L OHV engine. 200hp dosn't sound bad until you realize it weighs 4400lbs empty. The manual mode is totally non-complaint. Like, so bad I wonder why they bothered. The transmission has to hold 3-4k RPM up hills which is a lot for an OHV engine designed in the late 80's. This makes me wonder if the constant high RPM has lead to the oil consumption... The only positive is the suspension. It is a little rough but it doesn't lean at all. My car leans a fair amount on things like on ramps but the van stays level through just about anything.
Just thought about it, I've got to give Germany some credit. They have stuck to making station wagons (Estates) when everyone else (Except Holden) has pretty much stopped. Onya Germany, particularly Audi because the RS4 Avant is great
because none of them faggets realized kombis are still the shit Its actually whole of Europe, not just Germany
Yeah I later remembered Skoda & Volvo, but I couldn't be bothered opening the forums back up & editing it.
So my dad sold his truck, and he's just now deciding that it was a bad idea and is looking for a beater car until he can get a new truck. He wants a Jaguar X-Type, I'm trying to talk him into a Saab 93/95 Turbo.
Is it a dad thing to sell cars & immediately regret it? My old man sold his 1997 Holden VS Commodore wagon in 2006 & still goes on about how he regrets it. Looked exactly like this, same wheels & everything.
So my dad found a 1996 Ford Bronco for $1500. Bored out 302, Eddie Bauer trim and 32" tires. Damnit if he doesn't buy it...
It's actually really clean. It's just tires on stock suspension and the engine was only bored out by a factor of .30 on each of the 8 cylinders. It was all professionally done and it runs like a top.
ugh, I may need a catalytic converter on the driver side replaced in order to pass inspection. The check engine light had been disconnected somehow, or by someone, and the shop i got it inspected at say its throwing a code for the converters in bank 1, which I assume is the driver side. $500...
Delete the cats and throw an exhaust system on it. Also, do some more diagnoses before you go throwing a bunch of money into it. Could be something else. Crownvic.net is your friend.
Just when I think Holden could get any better, this bitch comes along. VF2 Walkinshaw W547, it has over 700HP https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10153203933751680
Oh i'm not throwing money at it till i'm damn sure that's an actual problem. I can't delete the cats because of my states regulations tho. wish I could.
