SSD arrived today and I decided to fiddle with my old I7 board and got the damn thing working again, with some tweezers and a magnifying glass I straightened two bent pins in the CPU socket and she booted back into life, I currently have it re installed in my tower with my lovely SSD. Peace and balance has been restored. 2X faster read speeds compared to my old Intel SSD.
4GHz stable but those temps have me a little concerned. Time for something a little beefier than my 212evo any suggestions. I wanna stay sub £50 and air cooled.
Ho about an ARCTIC FREEZER 11 LP? It fits onto most sockets, costs 23€ and I think you might need to compare since I have no idea what a 212EVO is.
Eww, WinRAR. I use 7-Zip. I don't know much about overclocking, but I know that higher voltage = higher heat. http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/cpu-air-cooler/hyper-212-evo/
Okay, dangit. I think to go higher in quality the first thing I saw with a price under 50€ and really good specs was the Cooler Master Hyper 412S which costs €46,90 in my local market.
AC Freezer 11 LP is much worse than a *Cooler master 212 EVO* 7-Zip confuses the hell out of me I much prefer WinRar. So much so I bought a licence. you are correct on the higher voltage = higher heat part but if I go any lower my overclock becomes unstable and frankly I like 4GHz makes my epenis larger and with my CPU being outdated I need all the size I can get!
Yes, as you can see up there, I noticed it, and I also made a better suggestion. It's just the thing that I use and it's okay. I can tell you a few things about CPUs and GPUs but I'm terrible with coolers, alright?
my evo manages to keep a 110w load under 50c 24/7. I'd be surprised to max it unless you have crap airflow in your case or too much thermal paste or too little thermal paste
Oh, with a liquid hydrogen cooling you can even clock to 2600Ghz. That was a 2.6Ghz AMD octa-core back then I think.
The new update came out, but I cant play the game due to fact that my actual computer is a dell inspirion 530, which is not the one i was playing beamng on I guess I could try to play the game, would only be able to use blank grid map and maybe gridmap with lowest settings due to intel celeron and intel G33 graphics, but I have ubuntu 14.04 LTS
But I don't have a smartphone as mine broke where both screens broke, but IF i'm lucky, thunderbird mail MIGHT be able to access iCloud mail as my steam account is linked to my iCloud mail EDIT: thunderbird is a ripoff email service
With a G33 iGPU, you'd be lucky if the game even started. Tried it once, with a Core 2 Quad. Worked for about 15 seconds, then CTD.
PC just flat out died whilst browsing the web, restarted a few times then I got into the bios, bam. Two more dead Memory slots, so I've been trying to fix it and well now its refusing to post, just great, and I cant even go back to the I5 system because it's a Christmas gift for a family member now, just my luck eh? declined finance for new parts though I expected that. Guess I'll be playing BNG on intel HD3000 graphics. various pics I took while it was working in different ram configs. Wierd. Now if you will excuse me, I'll be in the corner crying like a little girl.
