Rejoice as it is indeed a 27" The one downside to the whole thing is there is some sort of boot loop issue with it but the seller has no idea what is causing it so I'm hoping that it should be an easy fix at least. Even if it isn't an easy fix I'll be able to get what i paid for it back just by selling it on.
Damn, so it seems the seller might have pulled out and cancelled the order, they said something about "not putting all the needed details in the description" then just cancelled it. I messaged them but not sure if they will get back to me seeing as it was way under priced and they may have realised :/
So i got a crappy dell dimension 2400 for free the other day. picked up off the side of the road. Crappy celeron etc etc. But i liked the case. I could even change out the power button, no clips or anything that makes it hard to remove. So gutted it, put in a new power supply and power button and turned it into a nas. I used a hp smart array p400 controller and a backplane i got from another hp server and made this monster. thats 8x73gb 10k rpm sas drives. ghetto as f*ck but is amazing. gonna run nas4free on it.
Just bought a new monitor today, was originally meant to be a matching pair but unfortunately the other one sold before the guy could end the listing, he said if he gets another I get first dibs on it, it's a AOC E2470Swh after being stuck with a 19" 1650 x 1050 LCD monitor it's nice to have a new 24" 1080p LED monitor. £50 brand new in box.
Nice! Sadly i can never live with 1920x1080 as my primary monitor. I caught the 1920x1200 bug and i cant get rid of it. even if it means using a worn out monitor from a doctors office. Thats not dirt. thats wear on the panel. Barely noticeable on daily use though. It does get screenburn but thats fixed if i leave it off for a while.
I got a Samsung 750 Evo 120GB earlier today, just finished installing Windows 10 onto it after messing around a bit, and the improvement is insane. It's not even the speed that's the most noticable to me, but rather the quietness. My HDD is by far the loudest component in the system, so running on an SSD takes away a huge deal of noise.
Well I just found a matching AOC E2470SW on eBay paid £50 plus shipping for it, now all I need to buy a wall bracket. This one is used so I'll be using it as my secondary for videos and chat's. I should get a proper mouse while I'm at it.
What is this "El-cheapo" mouse in question? I still use a HP Comfort mouse from 3 years ago that cost me like £10...
Zoostorm actually make computers, but I never heard about them until I started using eBuyer. They include that mouse and some shit keyboard in a bad bundle of an Atom PC.
before you know it you will be up to 3 monitors. but then you realize thats not enough and you will be up to 6. i want more still. things have changed though since last i posted this. top left is 1280x1024 lenovo. Top middle is a 27" 1080p. top right is a monitor i just got for 5 dollars. 1280x1024. Same thing on the bottom right. Model #VA926. They have dvi and vga. got a great deal on them. Middle bottom is my 1920x1200 dell. I have a second one in the same condition, but currently not using it. Bottom left is a dell 1600x1200. I love it. it meshes perfectly with my 1920x1200 main. be jelly periphs i have a crappy Microsoft mouse and a cm storm mesh membrane keyboard
Sometimes it really pays off when you search the house däfor pc parts i found an box full of it including a mechanical keyboard an old case a old monitor and 5 nvidia 8800gts and gtx
I may want to build a computer this summer, would this be a good build? Is it balanced? http://pcpartpicker.com/list/TcRGxY
its a good build but the motherboard snt a god idea because you have a processor for overclocking but no motherboard for it i would advise you to get the MSI z170a Gaming pro carbon wich is a really good one from my experience.
you have chosen a K suffix processor (6600K versus a plain 6600). These are processors with an unlocked multiplier to allow overclocking. However the H110 motherboard you have chosen cannot adjust multipliers. Only Z170 motherboards can. You either need to spend the extra and get a Z170 motherboard if you were wanting to overclock or save money and buy an i5-6600 rather than the i5-6600k. Such a machine would run fine on 450W though I'd personally recommend a 500W PSU. You'll also note that this is what NVidia recommend users of a GTX1070 have. It is otherwise fine. However by next summer, AMD will have zen out and intel will have kaby lake out. Markets will have changed. Planning this far in advance isnt always for the best
What do you guys think now? http://pcpartpicker.com/list/77QDJV I like the looks of that case and the fact it comes with 5 fans installed. I think this is also one of the more fairly priced RX480 8GBs out there right now. I also upgraded my PSU to a 650w unit. My budget is $800 and I think this is where I'm going to freeze this build until I save enough to purchase it.
