Might be a stretch in this case here, but replace this placeholder CPU I put in for price showing purposes with an AMD 5 1300 and maybe reuse your old tower, plus if you don't want mad overclocking get a less expensive version of the video card and you're well in your budget I'd say. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/3cBB7h
It's a very good time for Ryzen to be released, but not for the reasons you might think. One of my Patriot ram sticks is giving up the ghost. Instead of reviving a 4 year-old platform, why not build new, eh? Then I suppose I'll shove the 4690K in my HTPC or something... And I have no idea what's gonna happen with my FX-6100. There have been incredible stability issues, including (but no limited to): Random underclocking, random restarts, failing to boot, failing to post, failing to recognize all 16 gigs of ram, failing to recognize the Sound Blaster sound card, complete failure to play anything through the Blu-Ray drive, and so on and so forth. In fact, the only thing the system can do correctly is play BeamNG... for some reason. So instead of figuring out what's wrong, I'll just use a nice, completely reliable and stable 4 year-old Intel platform for it (with the Patriot ram sticks replaced).
Look what i've got An old 10" laptop And it's even running under XP, not this crappy Vista Sure, it's less powerful than my phone, but I can't run photofiltre/blender/sketchup on my phone ! And the battery isn't really healthy :/ Don't know what I'm gonna do with it, but I'm sure it would be useful one day ! Should I install Windows 7 on it ? Won't be an official version though.
A laptop like that I'd either sell on or gut for parts, given it's XP with a gig of ram and a Atom processor I'd say it's from '05 or thereabouts.
Don't know, might be from 2007. Tbh it's running very well, even if I was trying to sell it, I don't who would buy this... Thing. As expected, blender isn't working, sketchup either. Photofiltre does. I'm thinking using it as a video player, when I'm not at home, since the screen is pretty good, well, at least bigger than my phone.
Well it should still run Linux, that'd be pretty nice. I mean if it's more powerful than a Raspi it'll run streams no problem.
Yeah... Sadly It's really too bad at...everything, it struggle with internet, and pretty much no programs runs on it, it really just good at being.... old, I might buy an old 15" laptop for less than 100€. I really need a simple little laptop, for doing... Stuff. Like a 2010 one with like 4go of ram and a pentium/I3 In that style : https://www.leboncoin.fr/informatique/1098238665.htm?ca=20_s If you have suggestions....
http://www.ebay.fr/itm/Lenovo-Think...824323?hash=item1c7dc01403:g:tt0AAOSw~AVYrtoW Put an SSD in it and I bet it'll be faster than most off the shelf laptops of today.
ahh, a computer guy messed up all the computer systems in his office, he got two new computers, but they don't sync to the server, so now the computer guy says that the server needs replacing, even though it is perfectly fine, it overheats but that is because it has upwards of 10 years usage with no cleaning!!!
guy i have a question about my GPU temps. After running BeamNG for about 5-10 mins my GPU temp, according to TechpowerUpGpuz, gets up to about 80c. Is this too high? Another question i have is about a squealing sound that the computer makes, its either coming from the back fan, or the motherboard. Its squeals high low high low constantly and idk if this is normal or not. --- Post updated --- and now my computer froze... idk what to do.
That's a little on the high side but it's fine. That's called coil whine, common problem, won't effect anything.
what causes it? fan? --- Post updated --- its a cyberpowerpc, intel-i5 7400 with AMD 480 rx graphics card
