how on earth did you measure the CPU temp? did the Pentuim 4 have a temp sensor? I know that on C2D and above machines they use the DTS system (0=MAX TEMP) but maybe your machine's bios had a temp sensor. anyway that is very hot!
On the topic of laptop Tempreture. The Bios revision that came on my laptop had an issue where the fans would stop working permanently (until new Bios update installed) after a few days of owning the laptop. I only realized after playing track mania at 1080p for a few hours when I was round my parents house that the laptop was unbelievably quiet. Turns out it was also quite hot too Presumably it was fine since it wasn't throttling the GPU in any noticeable way. But I did some research and decided to give the Bios update the go ahead when I found out.
That is better then thrift stores near me. The Pentium 3 is the only computer component (or whole computer) I have found near me, over the three years I have been looking. Edit: while we are talking about laptop cooling systems, I have a story. I few years ago, I dropped my HP Envy (the first one). When it powered on, it got a bios fan error, and the only way to get it to boot was to use compressed air on the fan to make the bios think that the fan worked. Eventually replaced the fan and heat sink assembly, only to discover that the fan popped out, so now I have an extra assembly.
ahh, just deleting stuff from my downloads folder, and of course windows explorer decides to go on vacation and not work, here I try to do "simple" tasks like deleting files but no it just has to sit there with little CPU utilisation and no disk usage not responding
So today i tried to do some cablemanagment now it looks worse than before but at least everything is now behind the desk. Its now a case of i dont see it so it isnt there
If my memory (ayyyy i'm punny) serves me right, I want to say it has one of those special Abit motherboards in it that supports 32 and 70 pin EDO as well as PC-133 SD-RAM. It has... 256megs of PC-133 ram (Again, I think) and I have no idea how big the drive is. If I weren't lazy, I could look up Fujitsu drive sizes based on cylinder count, but meh. I'll guess it to be 4-5 gigs.
For everybody who wants free or cheap computers and has had no luck with thrift stores, here are my tips. Ask any relatives if they have old computers, I have gotten three so far this way. (Two pentium fournaces, and a nice Dell C2D laptop) Another way is for people in the US, register on your local freecycle page, and look for offers of computer parts, or ask for computers. I got a near mint desktop with keyboard mouse and monitor because the PSU exploded, taking out the motherboard. (It was a celeron D, so it was good the PSU killed it.) I also got a huge box of old PC parts, with four old AGP GPUs, at least 20 IDE cables, a PSU, four hard drives, and some RAM.
I just open the task manager (Ctrl shift escape), pres new tax, then type in explorer. Solves problems as good as a system restart.
Hello guys, i need some opinions. Do headphones could use in gaming scene or even perform better than gaming headset ? I'm actually planning to buy HyperX Cloud Core many months ago, but still confused cause some of my friends tell me to buy Headphone + Mic. So could someone help?
What's your budget? These are great cans for the price: https://www.amazon.com/Audio-Techni...24127&sr=1-2&keywords=audio+technica+ath-m30x And this: https://www.amazon.com/Antlion-Audi...ie=UTF8&qid=1495124462&sr=8-4&keywords=modmic
Yeah for the explorer issues I just spam the X button and it pops up "Windows explorer is not responding..." then you get 3 options, 1) Close Explorer 2) Restart Explorer 3) Wait then you just press 2 and spam the cancel button where it is trying to tell Microsoft or something
