yeah its not bad, like most people are making it out to be, like screaming oh GTX 1080 performance but tdp of 350w. but it aint that bad from what i can see, if i were to get one the 56 would be good, same price as 1070 but more performance

That's because AMD cards are better with the Vulcan API which Doom IV uses

Honestly AMD should lock their cards from being used for mining, I mean they already lock their Ryzen CPUs from running Windows 7 so why not? Plus then they could sell their cards to people who use them for their intended purpose...

All those miners are going to sell their cards in two years time when mining has finally become totally pointless anyway

MS paid AMD to do it... and that's why AMD has lost their respect from me

Well... that's evil. Anyways, for the mining thing, there is almost always work around if the lock down is OS side.

AMD Will never lock their cards for mining. It brings in so much money, being that they can triple the MSRP and have the same amount of buyers.

They could bring hugely expensive mining edition and the normal ones are locked so you cant mine with them because they could make the money twice then

Is mining even that profitable anymore? I mean they have to buy expensive components for it after all...

And if it is why hasn't the goverment done anything about it? Doesn't mining cause inflation?

Asus actually released two GPUs for mining

Anyone from UK.... well when you are importing something from china and the shipping is free do you pay customs? and then VAT on the phone, like im guessing VAT for sure but what about customs? like these 2 examples...

    (from DH Gate)
    or

    from Banggood
Since it is free shipping does that mean customs paid by seller or me?

If the item you're buying cost's over £20 you'll have to pay import duty which is 20% of the value of the item I do believe. Only importing from the EU is free, well.. for now...

yeah its so bloody complicated i might just wait to see if the phone gets released in EU, like theres the VAT the Import Duty, the handling fees and overseas card payment fees, too bloody much and that saving you see on the chinese site is diminished

They don't lock ryzen from 7. It's also not possible to lock mining without locking all GPGPU
    --- Post updated ---
AMD CPUs don't support any operating system. It's not the job of the CPU to do that. The OS has to support the CPU. Its not possible for ryzen to block any operating system from execution and for that reason, yes you can install 7 on ryzen. However, Microsoft ended full support for 7 and are not implementing new hardware support in their long term support strategy, as such 5th Gen Intel isn't supported either.
However, as a standard i686 device, actually, windows 7 does run on ryzen, it just doesn't handle ryzen new additional features properly

When I was installing my SSD, I found a problem with my PSU. The power cable is loose. It didn't turn on the first time and I just died, then I tried unplugging and replugging the power cable to my PSU and it worked, but when I pushed it back into it's spot, the power cable was touched and shut the power off. Is this a PSU problem or cable problem? If it's a cable problem, will this one work?
