Good luck replacing that. You might be able to find a full cooling unit online but i doubt you will be able to find that exact fan. Maybe if you were to contact MSI they might be able to help you out, perhaps they will allow you to send it in for repair for a fee of course. The other option is using one of those nzxt gpu watercooling systems and finding a way to cool the other bits of the card sufficiently with some heat sinks and maybe a fan.
I also have a GPU issue, although a blade hasn't come off of the fan. It seems to randomly crash when not doing intensive things like gaming, YT, reddit, etc. Display goes black, and sound keeps playing. I have to then restart it manually for system to work again. What's exactly going on? Here's the GPU in question, http://www.sapphiretech.com/productdetial.asp?pid=38D17047-E956-4D7A-AA1B-050A3F519239&lang=eng
A: Catalyst 15.4 Beta, but does this on every driver I've tried, from when I built the rig. Even stable drivers. B: It's at stock, but once OC'd to about 1170 from 1050 once, was stable and didn't notice a difference. C: I don't quite know about that, just used it normally as a GPU. Only thing I see wrong with it is this problem. Also, card's out of warranty I think, just got it when the R_ series came out. It's 1 year and 6 months old, give or take.
How good is BenQ as a brand? I'm looking for a GSync monitor that also has HDMI so I can use my consoles on it*, and the only one I can find is this: http://www.ebuyer.com/695487-benq-xl2420g-24-g-sync-gaming-monitor-9h-lc5lb-qbe The specs look good, it's the size that I want and it has the ports that I need. Would you guys recommend it or is there some sort of Iiyama/Acer alternative that has HDMI and GSync/Displayport? *Yes, I'm aware that consoles/HDMI won't use GSync, I just want everything on one screen.
There are alternatives, however BenQ is actually a really well trusted and respected brand, especially considering that they where nearly unheard of a few years ago. They make great quality panels and are easy competitive with brands like Acer, LG and even Asus. Depends on price really, since its a G-sync monitor there are a few good reviews on that exact model if you want specifics, but overall its a pretty good buy.
How would this run Beam.NG? I'm looking to buy a desktop computer. These are the specs: Intel Core Core i3-4150 3.4GHz 3MB L3 Cache Processor 8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM 1TB 7200 RPM hard drive Intel HD graphics 4400 If more information is needed let me know, but how would it run Beam.NG Drive? (Im kinda a noob to this stuff) Ok, I clearly didn't give enough information. The computer isn't a custom build, it's a ASUS M32AD-RO6 Sorry if I caused any misunderstanding.
Re: These are my specs. Umm any improvements options to run Beam.NG better? If you've already turned down the settings then there's really nothing you can do.
Re: These are my specs. Umm any improvements options to run Beam.NG better? It's a Laptop, you can't do anything to it. Buy a cheap Core i3 desktop and throw a 750 Ti in it. That'll be your best bet on a budget. If money is no object, build a new desktop rig, anything is better than a Laptop.
Re: How would this run Beam.NG? That is a great starting spot. Now, all you have to do is add an Nvidia GeForce 750(Ti) graphics card as those Intel graphics are pretty lack-luster. Shop smart for that GPU, buy from a respectable manufacture like ASUS or EVGA. Go to stores like MicroCenter or NCIX and look for clearance deals, sometimes you can find something much better than a 750 for about the same price, if not maybe a little less.
Re: How would this run Beam.NG? Can you give us information about the power supply, and a picture of the inside? It'll help us determine the highest end GPU we can put it due to power requirements and other factors. We are going on a limb saying the GTX 750 Ti because it needs no more power and is small enough, but that is the minimum. The other specs aren't bad.
Re: How would this run Beam.NG? Ok, thanks for the help! I'll definitely remember that. - - - Updated - - - Sorry, I didn't give enough info. The computer is an ASUS M23AD-R06, not a custom build.
Re: How would this run Beam.NG? Doesn't matter, if it has an extra PCIe slot (and it's extremely likely it will) and a relatively good PSU (probably will have a enough watts to spare) you can put a better graphics card in.
Re: How would this run Beam.NG? Great! Thanks. - - - Updated - - - How is a AMD® Radeon HD graphics 8470D for Beam.NG?
Re: How would this run Beam.NG? Funny thing, the 8000 series Radeon cards are worse than their 7000 series predecessors. Look at a 260X from AMD. A tiny bit more expensive than a 750 Ti, but I do recall that they're slightly more powerful.
Re: How would this run Beam.NG? It's not really all that great price to performance wise. There are way better cards out there for the same money.
Re: How would this run Beam.NG? Yep, bought a brand new 650ti for $60 and it beats the 260x. Should arrive Monday. (For my second PC)
