Re: How would this run Beam.NG? My point exactly. GPU shopping is stupid. There are so many options out there, you have to do a lot of research.
Well, over the past half hour, I've been looking at computers other than the one I was originally looking at. Then I found this: ASUS M11BB 1TB hard drive 3.9 GHz processor speed 4GB RAM (expandable to 16GB Windows 8 AMD Radeon HD 8370 D
That one will run Beam horribly. Bad idea. (and as for my 260x comment, not bad means not gt 610, but not titan x level.)
Integrated graphics are pretty bad, but you could buy that PC and stick a GTX 750 Ti in it. Building your own PC is always the best option however, here's a similar build with a better GPU, for $600: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/bluescreen1985/saved/hP8mP6 Slightly better CPU, much better motherboard, and a great gaming graphics card.
Thanks for all your help guys, I'm really thankful for your input. Just one more question, what processor do you recommend?
Both of those desktops have either a 300w or 350w power supply and i can guarantee you it wont be a nice one. So you may want to see if some more specialized companies are making desktops in your price range. These sorts of systems/system builders for example (you will have to find relevant companies for your country): http://www.chillblast.com/Chillblast-Fusion-Shotgun.html http://www.chillblast.com/Chillblast-Fusion-Scythe.html But sadly for the price of the computers that you listed you are not going to get much, just a basic PC that has no graphics card is what you should aim for, throw in an extra $80 and then you can get a GPU and use it for more advanced games. If you plan to play at 720p the integrated graphics will be able to handle most games on fairly low settings, games like cs:go and dota 2 would run fine at 1080p etc. With a gtx 750ti you will be able to run anything at 1080p at medium settings. So my advice is either spend a bit more now and get a pc with a decent graphics card in it, or spend the current budget on a computer with no graphics card and save up so you can buy one and add it in later. But if you are willing to plug some things into each other you may be able to get everything cheaper (or more likely to a better quality for a similar price) if you build it yourself.
Guys, i need help. Is Zotac is a good brand ? Especially their 960 AMP! Edition? Or is there any better 960's cards? Also, is enermax is a good brand for PSU ? And finally, what should i pick windows 7 or 8 for gaming? Thanks guys For bluescreen : Sorry i ask a lot of question to you and maybe almost everyone in this thread since 5-6 months ago. I can't buy it immediatly at 5-6 months ago because our country has a BIG tax for PC parts. I hope you understand
Zotac is good, however I'd reccomend a 770 over a 960, simply because it has better perfomance and it's probably cheaper.
980Ti and Gsync monitor are all set up now. Good god it's all so smooth. Performance gain is amazing too, where the 780 chugged along at around 30FPS in GTA 5, I now have the settings turned even higher and it's running at around 95FPS.
Everything I read about Kepler in news was just talk about how it wasn't up to scratch, had trouble with DX9 games, was bad at tessellation, whatever. I just felt like I bought it at a wrong time, especially with how GTA 5 performed on it, so I thought I'd upgrade early this time and get the best possible for the price. Also, Zotac make some fantastic coolers. I've heard that the reference designs on the 980 and 980Tis are a bit "meh", but this 3 fan thing is excellent. I've never seen it go over 62C under load, while at the same time my CPU is hitting around 75C while it's 19C outside, making everything boil over essentially. It runs so cool despite being overclocked that it actually shuts off the fans completely when idle. I'd definitely recommend the "overkill card+Gsync" combo even after 5 minutes of experience with them, especially if you're looking into 4K gaming.
I made some SSDs (840 Evo, Pro & 850 Evo) (imported from here) (imported from here) (imported from here) And a HDD (imported from here)
And I need a 970 mini-ITX. Only reason is that I wanna experience that awesome feeling of maxing out everything. And because my 750 just isn't good enough today anymore.
Enermax is a fantastic PSU brand. With both Win 7 and Win 8 getting free updates to windows 10 you will probably end up with the same OS either way, but my advice would be to get 8 because newer and performance. Zotac is a pretty well known GPU brand, when it comes to GPU's nvidia makes the actual GPU chip and the board manufacturer makes the rest, such as the power delivery for the card and cooling. So in terms of GPU's they are all very similar of course many people have been unlucky with one brand. So take a look at reviews and buy whichever decent one is cheapest cause all the decent ones boost to basically the same speeds.
