If it's anyone but my best friend it's annoying. But me and my best friend could pretty much take each others phones and read through everything, and we wouldn't really care.
I found it highly annoying considering it wasn't someone I'm very close to reading in on messages with someone I am very close to... I generally treat my correspondence as private in the first place.
The texting thing is annoying, but what really irritates me is when people stare at my screen when I'm on my computer. I find it way easier to just reposition a phone if someone's being nosy, but you can't really do much with a laptop. Sometimes they even have the audacity to question me on what I'm doing. Why does it matter to them? I hate having to explain what this is to other people. Makes me feel like such a geek.
For context I was in a pub with a few friends playing magic the gathering as you do (nerdy thing to do I know, I dont care). My hearing is very poor, I only narrowly avoid qualifying for hearing aids on the NHS. My phones idea of vibrating on receiving a text message is frankly pathetic too. If I leave my phone in my pocket (logical) I cannot hear it ringing or feel it vibrating, it sometimes takes a few seconds of ringing from a phonecall for me to notice and texts I almost never feel. Only place I can really leave it, on the table. I quickly learned to keep it face down and then lean back in the chair a little whenever I actually read it. Its not like he was being subtle and just taking a quick glance at who the message was from, he'd properly crane his neck every time. I had a guy sat to the other side of me that did take a quick glance, knows the person and simply asked if they were alright as they havent spoken for awhile, never so much as glanced again. That I'm cool with. He did actually bring it up later but under a different context and that was also fine. Snooping guy isnt the closest of friends, I like him but I dont exactly trust him to every intimate detail of conversation. The person I was messaging, we are very close. To me, my phone is my private space, messages to me are private, I share what I want to share only. Messages with that person in particular, at the time nothing that I wouldnt have minded actually sharing, but we've discussed alot of personal issues before that aren't for sharing and its on that basis that I find people trying to read any of my messages without my say so quite disrespectful and rude.
SSD performance is promising. need to shrink my main disk down to a much smaller size and then i can clone it over to the ssd to use as my boot drive. Should be interesting.
Ok, I am seriously considering getting GTA V for PC. The story looks cool, the graphics are good, there are lots of different cars, and I like the idea that you can be different people in the game. Can someone list things that they like and don't like about it? Also, I really find steam annoying, so I'm probably going to get a disk version if I decide to get GTA V.
Its pretty good, i have really enjoyed playing it. Having said that rockstar did make a wide verity of very stupid decisions when making the game, therefore you should probably avoid gtas online at all costs unless you are playing in a private lobby/ with friends.
Yesterday I went to Queenie (http://www.queenie.cz/homepage/en/) concert. They perform pretty damn good and the singer looks a lot like Freddie Mercury. Today I started seriously cleaning my room and washed my window for the first time in at least 5 years.
What should I play today? ETS2, Rocket League, TF2, iRacing, or DiRT? I really want to play ETS2 but I'm not sure if my PC can handle it yet or not.
Never thought to post this but some people here might find the bus station in Middlesbrough interesting. As you can see buses can drive up the ramps onto the 1st floor bus terminals. Its a fairly cool design
AMD R9 290 Card, Intel i7 4770k Considering I used to play it on high settings with my 650ti, I think you'll be okay.
