Anyone have a racing-related name to my TF2 scattergun? As bad taste as possible, I like offending people. Personally, I was thinking "The Eric McClure Experience". If you don't get the reference:
I don't have anything against Apple machines personally; them and their Microsoft counterparts are both good at specific things. I just know this forum and its members prefer customization, low cost, and future-proofing over ease-of-use and efficient software, and is built around a game that is Windows-only.
Hmm. Perhaps I'm making the classic forum mistake of speaking out of my area of expertise. To be fair, most of what I've learned about Mac vs. Windows was from this forum. Broadly, Apple's tech doesn't have impressive hardware, but the OS makes great use of it. At least that's what impression I got from that discussion, wherever and whenever it took place. I do seem to recall some long startup periods from my experience with them, though.
I've never owned a Mac, but I have used them and I don't like them. Especially OSX. I hate it. iPhone, it's not bad, but Android is better than iOS and there's nothing an £500 iPhone does that my £90 Lumia doesn't. I don't see the point in high end phones in general, Apple or not. I honestly don't get the MS hate. Windows is a really good OS, it's stable (really, I haven't had any problems with Win7 in the last 4 years and none with 10 past the first weeks from release), easy to use, and unlike OSX advanced features aren't hidden from the user and are still easy enough to find and use. In a perfect world Linux would have a truly easy to use, properly supported distro that doesn't suck (because Ubuntu sucks, and when you want to do anything besides basic tasks the user-friendliness goes out the window).
OSX is optimised for specific hardware while Windows is designed to run on anything that supports it. Same happens with iOS/Android. You can get better performance out of the same hardware if your software is built specifically for that hardware.
Errr, same logoster?! I was saying how going with Top Gear was basically fucking aussies because Amazon isn't in Australia, all they sell is ebooks here, and also rambling about how Top Gear would go down in views because of the paywall, and because older guys like my pop has no idea what amazon is or what amazon prime is... hell, I'm not sure if he knows what a computer is, but he sure does miss top gear.
you know you're a boring old fart when your list of things you'd like at christmas this year consists of simply a memory foam pillow
Just went to install a mod for Midtown Madness. Every time I install this mod I get a 'throwback' to when I made the installer to it. Stylized to the game.
isn't it a bit early to talk about christmas? well, take that from someone who learned it was Halloween on Halloween after asking a friend what this new fashion craze is with the zombie makeup. Christmas itself is the gift of time off, that's all I want.
MSI: Not even once. Sodding thing's started artifacting and doing this again. This is will be the fourth card I RMA... and if SCAN is going to be SCAN, they'll refuse any suggestion that I don't want to see this thing again.
The Windows moaning in my case is because of all the bs with Windows 10. I know it can all be disabled but i shouldn't have too, ms has made their intentions pretty clear, they need to monetize their new "free" operating system and i don't really like that model. I don't like that they are trying to put adverts on lock screens. I don't want to use bing and i dont want my os to mine my data. So at the end of the day is that a product that i want on my computer, no, not at all. But when the day comes that dx12 is actually used i will have far less choice in whether or not i upgrade. At which point i will have to start dealing with my operating system. Cause there is basically no competition when it comes to compatibility. If i could switch to a different OS i would be gone by now. Also Windows 10 hate isn't what i would call it. Since i dont hate Windows 10. It has a few cool features, its just the other stuff that i shouldn't have to deal with.
If that is the 4th card that has died in your computer it is probably not the cards fault. The problem probably lies elsewhere. Also the fact that scan has allowed you to return 3 of the cards so far is a fairly solid returns policy.
it's not so much me thinking about Christmas as having had a friend stay. She bought a memory foam pillow with her and it was pretty damn comfy. But I can't afford to get one, Christmas just makes sense as the logical time for me to acquire things
