My new g502 arrived today. Its pretty nice, a few things i need to get used to such as side button placement and the side buttons having the same click as the primary buttons (g500 side buttons were silent). On the plus side it does seem that the braided cable on the g502 isn't utter trash like the one on the g500 which frayed really badly and caused kinks in the cable requiring me to cut the braided bits to relive the stress on the cable.

    Enjoy some comparison photos.

Make sure you're exporting them as mono. They won't work if they're stereo.

changed my refresh rate from 60hz to 75hz, turns out the monitor can totally handle that. I also tried 80Hz but the monitor gave me an out of range error message. The slightly higher refresh rate is nice though.

I need to see if my monitor can do higher than .. whatever it is.

For me 60FPS games don't look 60FPS, but videos seem fine.

Its really easy to do in the nvidia control panel (I have no experience of doing this on AMD Catalyst). You just go to the screen resolution settings, then create a custom resolution and set the hz to whatever you want and hit test to see if it works.

But for day to day use i think i will leave it at 60hz since it multiplies correctly for fixed frame rate content (such as video or games locked at 60fps) meaning that it wont have to display certain frames twice which would appear as stuttering. But then if i find myself playing counter strike or something like that i can totally see 75hz being pretty nice to play with.

Did anyone else notice how the automatic install feature tdev showed off some time ago has been integrated into the website? I guess a new BeamNG update is coming, only explanation I have for this.

I tried this on my monitor, it displayed whatever refresh rate I gave it, but anything over 60 made it have horrible artifacts and frameskip. I didn't really expect much from a $100 dollar monitor, but I've heard 75Hz is noticeable better than 60Hz

    JC3 looks to have been a bit of a dissapointment... it's a shame, but now I'm glad I didn't pre-order it :D

I have only put about an hour into just cause 3 so far.
Im pretty pleased with it from what i gathered in that fairly short amount of time. The biggest problems i had was performance but nvidia did not launch the game ready drivers on launch so i presume the drivers will fix things since nvidia are claiming that my gpu should run the game about 50% better than it is.

But my general impressions are that it is just cause 2 but with a more detailed map which has been designed to be as good as possible with the wingsuit with a far better story and improved physics. The story so far has been pretty good too but 1 hour really isnt enough to judge the story on.

The reviews seem to vary a bit, but all the reviews seem to say fairly good things about the game and many of them give 8/10's which is fairly ok.
If you look at the steam reviews they are mostly performance related, which considering the game launched without drivers is to be expected. Currently the game stutters a bit for me but maintains over 50fps in general on old drivers with almost all settings maxed out. Nvidia state (so grain of salt required) that the gtx970 should run the game at max settings @1080p at 70fps which they tested on game ready drivers.

So i think its fair to say that the launch could have gone smoother, but as far as i can tell its a fairly decent game. If you enjoyed jc2 then you will love 3 since they are fairly similar.

    EDIT:
New drivers are out, the game now runs properly.
