You know, BeamNG with all the details at full in the right TOD on the right map, can look awesome (at 30FPS)

Still wishing for an ENB for BeamNG, look at krytons most recent GTAV video

Sounds like a reasonable answer for someone who hasn't been taught to please excuse my dear aunt Sally.

By that age (at least here) you wouldn't have learnt that, so he couldn't have know better.

he's just reading left to right which at that age is logical.
    2+2 evaluates to 4. 4*2 is then 8.
I don't think he'd have learned the order of operations yet in the UK to know that you perform the multiplication first then the addition to get to 6

this is why I prefer reverse polish notation, there is no order of operations, it does operate left to right.
    2+2*2 in rpn would be 2 2 * 2 +

From a teaching point of view though it would be more difficult to teach RPN. For example in english when speaking people generally say "four times five" while you could change the normal order in the english language to match RPN rather than using infix notation that wouldn't be trivial. While most things about RPN are just general getting used to it for it to be as trivial as the current conventional methods I think that RPN would make it more difficult to bodge algorithms together.
For example if i was wanting to calculate the cost of 3 items while adding tax to them (There are better ways to do this but i am doing it this way for the sake of the example)

Switched to paper for ease of writing.
Which can make Infix often much easier for some day to day tasks. It is also very simple which is useful when it comes to teaching 6 year olds how to do maths.

Not to say that RPN or Infix is better in all circumstances. They both have advantages and drawbacks. But i think when teaching children most of who will probably only use maths on an infrequent basis Infix is probably the better choice even if it does mean that people have to remember BIDMAS for more complex operations.

Got woke up at like 1:30am with 2 fire trucks outside the house because of a carbon monoxide alarm (i guess in my neighbours attached house), lucky it was all clear.

It still scared the crap out of me :p

I watched a few episode of Initial D last night. It's awesome! I have no idea why I didn't watch it before.

Live axles are... Not entirely useless for racing like most people think. The FR500 Mustangs use live axles. As do NASCAR racecars.
