F*ck Rockstar! Rockstar is trying to stop modders spawning online cars in single player.

pre-GTA5 me loved Rockstar, I felt they were one of the last honest-ish giants that made great games, that were actually completed upon release unlike a sad amount of games today.

Now I see the truth, they are not much better than EA, or any of the other corrupt big name game creators. They have fallen victim to one of their own quotes (RDR) : "Power is like a drink. The more you have, the more you want. And there's few men who can handle it."

GTA online has an always has been Rockstars form of DRM for GTA 5. Personally I think that GTA 4's online was better in general because of all the BS that GTA online pedalled. But since Rockstar has been bullying any mod makers who have tried to implement systems to allow for different (and favourable imo) methods of playing the game online I can't see it getting any better soon.

Too bad GTA4 is a bitch to run on some modern GPU's

You either die a hero, or live long enough to become the cash grabbing, money whoring villain

Take 2 sucks. The devs should be ashamed of themselves for backing down. It would take more than a visit from some ex cop private investigator to get me to stop doing "gods" work like that.

From a quick bit of googling it would appear that Rockstar has been owned by take 2 since 1998. So its not a recent thing. Just the direction the market was heading in around the 2013 period relating to DRM. Recently many publishers have laid off a bit with the naff behaviour including EA and Ubisoft since they probably realised that consumer confidence was starting to get quite low with their brands. Since another games market crash would probably be bad news for them.

To be completely honest though Rockstar haven't been golden for quite a while. The pc ports of previous Rockstar games had been ok at best (30fps cap with few setting on early GTA titles, GTA4 was better but ran poorly and had 3 layers of DRM [steam>Games for windows live>Rockstar social club]), but in general it has never been picked up on much. But it would seem that they are maybe pushing peoples good will a little too far recently. There is also no point blaming the devs, most of them probably don't like the idea of the things that are going on, but external pressures from people in suits that pay them will ultimately win over.

Well, recent blood tests I've taken suggest that I might be hypoglycemic. I've figured out why I'm always shaky now, anyways.

Life just potentially got really expensive.

Sorry about that Redrobin. Is there much that can be done other than a healthy diet?
