Well, I just got back from a band trip to Whistler today. T'was lots of fun. Wasn't as eventful as last year I suppose, but was still more fun for me. (On last year's trip I did things such as wandering up dry ski runs, belly sliding down snowy slopes in a golf course, or sleeping on a concrete balcony below 0 degrees Celsius without warm clothes with bedding out of whatever was in the hotel room, etc.....) Otherwise, the weekend before, I had a band retreat thing, where I stayed at my school overnight. Some interesting things most definitely happened. First of all, most of my friends were successfully able to climb on top of my school. I would've but due to specific circumstances that I don't feel like explaining, we didn't have enough time to get everyone up there. Of course my friends got caught pretty quickly. My band teacher was actually impressed by this, and wasn't even mad. (she tried to be lol) Secondly, and more interesting I suppose, we found tunnel(s) underneath our school. Since none of us went down more than a few metres, we have no idea how far the tunnel went. My school has two parts, an old building (highschool) and the newer building is used as a middle school. (Except for the gymnasiums, the old one is for the middle school, vice versa.) This tunnel was under the old gym. Just after the entrance, it turned 90 degrees and seemed to go along the edge of the gym, about 20-30 metres. The tunnel was only large enough to crawl through. My brother did some research, and we think it's a pipe-run, despite the fact that we didn't see any pipes. Since the old part of the school was built in the very early 60's, it's also possible that it could be a fallout shelter for the cold war, but I kinda doubt that. Anyone have an idea what this tunnel might be?
A big storm rolled in so I decided I should move the vic into the garage. When I sat down in it and started it up I heard the light tapping sound of small hail. Booked it up to the garage and by the time I parked and got out, the hail was golf ball sized. Closed the door and the vic was all safe and sound. Close call. Fastest I've ever piloted that boat into the garage.
Same system blew by me about 2 hours ago. Had quarter sized hail. And so much lightning. Struck multiple trees within 200 yards of my home. Not fun... And I only managed to get one photo...
It was wicked. I'm in Knoxville, and the most severe little pocket of the storm went right over me. When I was watching it roll in, I noticed it was approaching really fast. In the time it took me to get my keys and go outside, it went from being overcast to windy and pouring down rain. By the time I made it around to the garage it was raining sideways and blowing branches and shit every which way. Reminded me of watching a tornado roll in. The worst part was sitting in my driveway listening to the sound of the hail get louder as I was feverishly trying to find my damn garage door opener. It would make for some mildly interesting dashcam video, but the memory card wasn't in it.
The logic in a lot of threads here. Code: public static void Bump(Post post) { post.reply(post.content + " let the thread die!!"); Bump(post); } Bump("any thread someone else bumped");
I think it came from there. And we got a second system today. This one was electrifying. I just wish there weren't so many trees... then I would've been able to take photos of the lightning.
There was a hailstorm in Socorro, New Mexico in 2004. The hail was the size of golfballs and I remember all the cars were dented and people had to move the hailstones out of their yards and off of roofs. Lots of property damage.
Here's a video of me starting the amazingly powerful (Not really, unless 99hp is considered power...) cruze.
I have no idea, kiss 106.9 an aus station, no idea what song it was. --- Post updated --- She has a bit of a problem, whenever i turn the car off it makes a super loud screeching noise. does anyone know what that is?
