Good day for manual hunting at my fathers junkyard

 

I get the Iceland's ones that are £1 each. I used to get the deep pan chilli beef ones, then four cheese ones, but now I get deep pan double pepperoni.

Cash for clunkers is the worst thing that bloody country's done in the past 20 years

 

We've got the same thing in France name "Prime à la casse" or "Bonus at the junk" but it dosn't really work, and you can steal easily find a car at 900 $ which you can drive with it

 

Surprised they don't require proof of ownership.

 

I don't really know what is a "Proof of owneship" It's like the paper of the cars ? If yes you need to make after a "Carte grise" which say it's your car with all information on, the price varied around the horsepower of the car, a little car (like a twingo) you would payed around 90 $ a big car like an SUV probably around 200$ ... For do it you need the old one from the other ownership, if he lost it, well you are in a bad situtaion !

 

To be fair, now that 6 years has passed since CFC, cars that didn't qualify for it/were too valuable to scrap are now aging and becoming cheap. It's just a big cycle. I suspect in 5 years the cheap used car market will have returned to the way it was before CFC.
