I took a circuit bending class when I was 16 with a buddy. The iron I used was a beater compared to that. Good for fixing input Jacks on electric guitars that consistently come apart.
When you need £4.80 for takeaway pizza but only have £4.35 in change, life is awful :/ EDIT: Found just over £1 in the bottom of a drawer. Life is good again
Welp, my bike is gone. Was doing work on it yesterday and two people from my accommodation maintenance team started asking me questions about the bikes security. Now its gone, so go figure. Tried phoning the accommodations "24hr emergency number" twice with no one picking it up. So I now have a Police tracking number. Good job I took photo's of the chassis number. Regardless of who took it they would have needed to break the locks to take it. So even if it was maintenance who took it to teach me about security etc I am now going to need to buy some new locks :/ Or moan until they pay for new ones At least it was a cheap second hand bike (from a relative who didn't use it) rather than my nice bike. Since if it wasn't the accommodation team its unlikely I will be seeing it again... On the other hand, no takeaway for me tonight, life has once again reverted back to the earlier statement
When your paying for things using the pound sterling, you know life Is awful. Quid? Pence? Thats some exotic shit right there.

The finest of engineering. I rewound the voice coil and added a paperplate. i have to hold down part of the woofer though, as its not duct taped in
It's been a while since I've experienced a real storm. Typhoon Songda is on my doorstep and we've already got trees down and power outages despite the worst being an hour off. But hey, there's nothing like pacing the house eating Starbursts while listening to CBC on a Sony radio from the '70s because you have nothing else to do. Hopefully the power holds out. Lucky for me I've got a dim-ass Ray-o-vac flashlight with a cracked lens to save the day if it doesn't.
I honestly couldn't say, I only have a poundland card reader and that PDA to use it in. But since they were used in Photography a lot even after the first waves of SD cards they are probably decently quick if you get a nice one. EDIT: All I can find is an Amazon product page stating 9Mb/s and lots of people raving about how fast it is
I got kinda bored of beamng for right now. And my gaming desktop is currently not in order so i cant really play beamng anyway.
I'll probably use my Galaxy S2 as a YouTube Music device downstairs since it only plays in 360p it will load really quickly also, why can't it do at least 480p on an 800p screen? It may be vertical/width issues but couldn't YouTube just scale it?
Well, after a weekend of wrangling UNIX and hard disks, I finally got MacOS 9.2.1 and NetBSD/macppc version 7.0.1 to coexist peacefully on a Mac Blue and White with a Sonnet G4 CPU. I shouldn't feel as accomplished as I do
I've got a couple 16GB cards for my DSLR. Cisco networking equipment still use Compact Flash. At my vocational school, we've got cards from 8MB to 512MB in use.
